Good alternative to Moon gels.
I have been using moon gel for a while now but found they would eventually tear and get a right mess, even after cleaning. Bought these instead and have to say that after using them for a week on all my drums, the difference is phenomenal. These Evans drum dampers help to remove the majority of ring and unwanted harmonics. They are heavier than moon gels so be prepared for that but they do appear to be more sturdy in their design. They are quiet large and have more depth to them that the moon gels. They come in a rather snazzy shallow time and they are uniform in size apart from one larger damper which I use for the floor tom. If you want a more sturdy damper then these would be a good choice. Very happy with my purchase.

Best gels I’ve used.
They so a great job of not only stopping the sustained hum from my snare whilst allowing the tone to resonate, but also emphasise the ‘crack’ when I hit a rim shot.

Best type of drum dampener's I've purchased
Only recently started using this type of gel dampener and overall I'm impressed they seem to be more value for money than the clear or blue moon gel, that I previously used.I like the idea of the storage tin which fits in most pockets of stick bags. You still have to clean these dampener's after a bit of time like normal with warm soapy water then let them dry on their own. They've certainly got my approval and when I need to replace my current ones I shall be purchasing these again. They also do the job very well of preventing less overtones or unwanted ringing around the drums. You only really need one on each drum. At which ever o.clock position on the drum you prefer. I still use a drum o ring too only on snare drum but that's my preference.

Dampen drums
Really good with damping the sound however you can’t really RE-USE… after like 3 or 4 times of taking them off your snare or tom skins.. They don’t stick well and end up falling off.. But really good for gigs !

AMAZING
These things are fantastic! Way better than moongel! Really sticky so once they're on, they don't move and can be left on as the top isn't sticky!

Quite pricey for something that doesn't stick.
These gels are pretty thick but dont stick very well at all on a coated Remo Ambassador Coated skin. Whether theyd be better on a clear or pinstripe head, I dont know.I'm constantly picking these up off the floor. I've tried fitting direct from the tin, as well as wiping with a damp cloth first, all to no avail.I'd expect better from Evan's, especially for the extortionate price they charge for a few moon gels.

Decent
A good alternative to moon gel and in a nice tin.

Only work briefly
Do the job initially, but once they're out the packet and have been used once or twice max, they lose their stickiness. Will probably stick with moongel
