These are slightly smaller in diameter to the one that I was replacing
The product arrived in good condition , well packaged and very quickly. I installed the bulb and found it slightly smaller in diameter to the one that I removed. It worked ok when switched on, but time will tell if they last. It gives out a good light. So far so good.

Nice heat
Struggle to find these bulbs now as everything is LED, which would normally be fine but not great for my wax melter as it needs to heat up. These bulbs do the job - I'm fully prepared for replacing them frequently, but there are loads in the pack so I'm sorted!

Great For Mathmos Lava Lamps
I have a couple of Telstar Lava Lamps by Mathmos, they come with a mini GU10 bulb, 28W with a 3.5cm diameter of the bulb head. They tend to blow quickly, and are expensive if you buy from Mathmos.If you search Amazon for a Lava Lamp bulb, they tend to be the same 3.5cm diameter with possibly a higher wattage, which would make them get too hot and cause the 'lava' to be lots of little blobs, and would probably blow after a relatively short time.What you need is a 5cm diameter halogen bulb, so the bulb head has more area to dissipate heat. But you have to go with a higher wattage than the 28w 3.5cm supplied bulb, or it won't get hot enough. I had tried a 28W bulb with a 5cm diameter, but it took hours for the Lamp to be fluid, and it was very minimal movement. I have also tried a 40W 5cm bulb and it was OK, but after a while it got too hot and the 'lava' was lots of small blobs, which doesn't look so impressive. With this 35W bulb, the 'lava' kicked in to fully fluid after about 1½ hours, and it didn't turn into very small blobs.The bulbs were nicely packed in a small cardboard box, with no apparent damage.So in summary, a halogen 5cm diameter GU10 bulb of 35W is a very good choice for lava lamps. I included the long explanation to help lava lamp owners understand and choose a good bulb. These ones will be my 'go-to' for replacement lava lamp bulbs from now on.
