Good. Heats up quick. However couldn't keep it on for more than 2 hrs as it would heat up the vivarum too much . To a temperature which isn't comfortable for my hedgehog. However when used with a thermometer it's great for the winter, to stop my hedgehog from hibernating and keeping him toasty, just have to make sure I monitor the heat so he doesn't get too hot. Other than that it's great

Only way to tell whether it is working is to put a hand well beneath it to feel if it is working. I have always used a red or white light bulb in the past which was easy to see if it was working. Other than this it is good as does not affect the natural light and dark an animal is used to, but keeps an area warm.

This bulb does its job however I only give it 4 stars and it arrived with a chip in it and wasn't packaged to well to be a bulb it just came in as all box with no bubble wrap to protect it wish was disappointing.

Can easily withstand water splashing and other mess from ducklings without shattering, steady 30 degrees at a low watt use.

It works great and is cheap. Highly recommended. Pumps out a ton more heat than a similar wattage reptile bulb.

Checked my pet in the morning and came back at night and the heat bulb stopped working. I haven’t had this item less then two months, so there is no really excuse why it would stop working. Good thing I always check before I go to bed otherwise I fear the worst could of happened my pet.
