Amazing Product
Let me start by saying to read the manual first before you get the product up and running. This will go a long way. With that being said, once you insert the batteries on this monitor and program the initial settings.... it's smooth sailing from there. I like the fact that it's compact, easy to use and it stores the reading history on my phone with the app. This makes it super easy to track so I have something to show my doctor on my visits. I tested this monitor while in the doctor office and it was pretty accurate compared to their machine. So I'm happy to know that when I use my monitor I'm getting accurate readings. There is a downside but not much of a big deal for me. It's battery operated which means replacement batteries. I didn't mind getting rechargeable batteries for it so when I have to change them, I swap them out for fresh ones and recharge the old ones so they be ready to be swapped out again.

no hose
really like this blood pressure monitor, simple to use and no tubes to mess with, easy to adjust and i checked it against two of my old monitors and seem to be just as accurate, the only one i use now, just follow the instructions and don't get it to tight

Easy and accurate
We had been using an Omron blood pressure monitor, but it was getting a bit older and were questioning its accuracy. This beurer BM 81 is easy enough to set up with the date and time and connect to a phone using bluetooth. It seems fairly accurate based on comparisons with the Omron unit and units available at pharmacies. The cuff will work well on both fairly large arms as well as pretty small arms. I was ready to say that I would like to be able to export the data from the app so I can pull it into Excel to make charts the way I like to see them... And there it is - export as CSV or PDF. Awesome. I highly recommend this make and model - beurer BM 81.

Seems like quality, difficult set up
I just received this monitor so I can’t say yet how accurate it is. My first read came out a bit high for me and I honestly think it might have been the stress of trying to set this thing up.I finally figured it out, but I can tell you that it took me about 45 minutes to read instructions, download the app, set up and learn how to take a reading without getting an error message. Wish it were more intuitive. Lots of adjustments needed to get an accurate reading.I liked that the cuff is much more substantial than the omron equivalent, though maybe not as travel friendly because it’s bulkier. It is also a little tough to figure out how to open up the cuff wider if you’re like me and your upper arm is big-ish.Pro tip; I had to make sure I rolled the cuff all the way up my arm past my elbow and ensure it was lined up with the arrows lined up just so. It’s picky. But maybe that will help get accurate reads ??

Didn't realize how much better a BP cuff could be until now
This was the most intuitive and easier to use BP monitor that I have used, It's been a few years now since I was told to keep an eye on my BP by my Cardiologist. Had always used the fast inflating Velcro cuff that was attached to the tube. Every time I used it I was certain that the actual use of it helped to raise my BP. The Velcro cuff was either too loose or too tight. There were times when I had to stop the machine because it was getting frighteningly tight. Anyway, once I did some research and found this BP monitor by Beurer, I knew I had to try it. Yes, I will admit it is about twice the cost of many of the others but keeping your BP in check is definitely worth the extra cost. Took it to my next cardio appt and they checked it against their state of the art BP machines and were amazed that it was almost exactly the same reading as theirs. My old cuff and tube monitor was always 10-15 percent off. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower. So I would wholeheartedly (see what I did there) recommend this monitor to anyone concerned about their overall health. Oh yeah, it is also Bluetooth compatible so you can see all your readings stored on your phone. I don't really use this feature but it does come in handy when you go to the docs and they want to see your readings.Give this monitor a try. You will not regret it.

Used item when paid for new
I ordered this BP cuff because of the positive reviews. I received the item in a box that had been opened. The cuff had used batteries inside the machine and the cuff wasn't in the plastic bag and the cover over the display had been removed. The plastic bag was inside the box. I tried to use the BP cuff but the results were significantly lower than any other cuff in the house. Not just by a little bit but there was an extreme difference. Two other BP cuffs in the house both read 150/86 and 148/85. This cuff read 130/54 and the second time was 128/52. All tests were within a few minutes of each other. The other BP cuffs were half the price and brand new. I got this cuff for its simplicity of use. Definitely not worth the money. Sent it back.

Readings run really high. Unable to return for refund.
I bought this model mainly for the size of the cuff and ease of adjustment to my upper arm with an accurate measurement of my blood pressure. I learned too late that the device’s measurements were too high compared to my Dr.’s office blood pressure monitor. I was 2 days past the return date so I am unable to get a refund for $108 for this product. Save your time and money.

Love it!!!!!!
I bought this after I returned a different wrist BP monitor that was inaccurate and difficulty syncing with my phone. I decided to go with this upper arm monitor based on all the other positive reviews and I’m so glad I did. Firstly, this is the easiest upper BP monitor to put on, I was worried that one of these would be cumbersome to put on, but with the easy lock button, it totally made it so easy. Secondly, this is definitely more accurate than a wrist monitor and it closely matches the readings I get at my doctor’s office. Thirdly, this is so easy and quick to sync to my phone. This is a great feature because I won’t have to keep a log and remember to write down my measurements because this does it for you and syncs to its app along with apple health.
