I received if today. I read the reviews and was of mixed opinion on its effectiveness. My Experience: The first thing I noticed was the aromatic smell. I then touched it to check consistency. It had the right amount of stiffness and softness in terms of product consistency. I then applied it, waited awhile and showered. Edges were still laid. I will say, I had slight itching after application but it faded quickly. I highly recommend it. The product is of good quality. It is not too drying and there was no white residue

The hold is so great!! I use this when I do my own Havana twists or when I just do a simple slick back style and it doesn’t fall. The smell is delicious and I never get tired of it. And I’m surprised this product is so cost effective for what you’re getting!! Texture is lovely, & it doesnt turn white!!!!!

Isn't sticky, goes on smooth, however an edge control gel should keep the edges where it's applied straighter, however it doesn't, in fact it makes them even more curly. In other words the edge control doesn't last very long, not even for a 8 hours. Luckily you don't have to wash it out you can just brush or comb it throughout your hair, but you definitely have to re-apply it again either the same day after a couple of hours or the next day. It doesn't cause as much buildup as Mielle Edge Gel, but there is still some buildup after a while.

Doesn’t work that well on type 4 edges but I use to get a soft foundation going then I go over it with another product. Will probably work better in the colder months but definitely not worth it in the summer. Smells really good though!
