Smallest PID-controller on Amazon (arguably). Working as intended. Require some fiddling with buttons and reading manual from the beginning to end.Do not hesitate to contact Golanderusa.com for technical support: they are responsive and eager to help.Note: Be aware, this unit DOES NOT work with 3d-printer-style thermistors (NTC 100K family ) and show blinking EEEE (error) on the screen even if wired properly. I have three Golander PID controllers installed in espresso machines that I own. They were all installed in 2019. Two out of three still work flawlessly. The third unit stopped responding to settings buttons after 2 years. It still worked well, but there was no way to change the settings. Recently, the display stopped working so I contacted the manufacturer. Their explanation was that excessive heat may have caused the problem. While this is certainly a possibility, this espresso machine is only used on when needed, unlike the other two that work pretty much 24/7. Also, this is the smallest machine with the boiler positions furthest away from the PID controller. I cannot claim that the malfunction is due to poor quality, but I will have it replaced by a different manufacturer PID just in case. Golander did not seems very enthusiastic about addressing this issue in more depth, hence the decision to go with a different brand.

Awesome little controller, works perfectly for controlling heat mats in reptile enclosures. I mount these in an extruded aluminum box found on Amazon that is roughly 3in wide x 4.33 in deep by 1.8in tall and put the SSR in a separate box. If you want to put everything in one chassis, consider the Bud Mini Box that is 5x7x3H, plenty of room for controller, power cord, a/c receptacle and fuse holder.

I purchased two of these displays and was happy with my purchase for about 3-4 months of continuous use in an industrial cleanroom environment. After that time, the display on both units started to dim out and at about 9-10 months of use, became virtually unreadable. During the time they were operating normally, I was very happy with the product.Bear in mind that I was operating these at 208 vac, which they are rated for. If you are looking for a long-term solution in an industrial environment, I would look elsewhere.I gave this product 2 stars because it is an attractive display and does its work at an inexpensive price point. Lifespan was the issue for me. For intermittent use at 120 volts, this may perform better than my experience. Caveat Emptor - Your mileage may vary.
