Fantastic read.
This book and all of m s morris books are gripping reading. I have now sent for another 5 to get the full collection and cannot wait for them to come. Full of characters who each have a story to tell and a job to do. You end up as if you know each one. Brilliant plots. Would highly recommend.

Deep into that Darkness
The fourth book in the Tom Raven series and another good read. Once I've done this review, I shall be ordering the fifth. Very well written and good plots. I didn't guess the ending, so in my mind, a satisfying outcome.

Another good read
Fell over this series of books and each one is a good read. Solid character development, good recaps in each so regular readers aren't given too much exposition but each book can read standalone. Set on the Yorkshire coast and written by someone with a real feel and love of the area. Very enjoyable

A good five thriller for me
There are several features of the Morris writings that make me come back for more, especially the DCI Raven thrillers. One, the storyline is interesting and lifelike and could actually happen. Two, the writing style is comfortable and the plot uncomplicated, making for easy and enjoyable reading. Three, the characters are attractive and realistic, especially the often cantankerous main character, DCI Tom Raven. And four, my familiarity with the Scarborough and East Yorkshire setting, which makes me rush off to Google maps to see exactly where they are! A good five for me…..

I love this book.
Like the others in this series I loved reading this book. I know the part of the world it is set in and love that as well. Great plot, great, well thought out characters. I will just say though that I would not recommend reading this unless you have the earlier ones first. There are some parts of this story that will spoil earlier books if you haven't already read them.

The Raven series
I love this new series, that’s up in the Yorkshire dales, I’ve been up in this area many times and can’t imagine the topography. I like the characters as well, especially Tom Raven, good series, hope it doesn’t run out to soon.

Brilliant series.
It's not often that I really take to an author or, in this case, two, but in this case I make an exception. Love the characters, there's just enough Scarborough in the books to make them real and the plots actually make sense. What's not to like? I've just read the first four books in a binge, and that is unheard of.Highly recommended.

Great Series!
This is a great series, I can’t wait until the next one comes out. It’s full of mystery, personal struggles, good detective work and compassion. Well done!

Romantic....but
...again, not very realistic...Raven and Becca turn out to be very narrowminded and judgemental in this novel. The slightly chubby Becca envies the athletic bodies of the pole dancers but is openly disgusted by their line of work. As a police woman she is trained to see the world in black and white. In her little world every woman who gets paid to show off her body to a male audience generally must be exploited.Raven isn't very professional either. One lookat a suspect and his immediate dislike leads him to all kinds of "knowledge" about them. How he manages to look at an attractive man who has his way with women and instantly knows he must be a psychopath is a tale still to be told.Anyway, if you can look the other way concerning these things...read the book, the story is still nice.

Provocative murder mystery
Another enjoyable, satisfying entry into the Yorkshire Murder Mystery series from M.S. Morris. Drama, intrigue, suspense, terror, and an emotional roller-coaster, while still finding ways to inject light-hearted humor! The killer was well concealed until the end, and their capture was achieved with a satisfying resolution. That along with the continued story and character development provided a fast and entertaining read.
