I've used this product many times before. It's perfect to give clothes a little tlc, make it look new again.Definitely recommend, especially for black clothing that tends to fade quickly in the wash

Does not work on bleach spots.
Like others dye washes out almost instantly. Dye did work to darken some but won't work on bleach spots, followed directions. I left it to soak in the dye for the night and a few hours after I woke up put in the wash and still the bleach spots were there, it did darken it but still there. Durability is okay without beach spots.value okay for redyeing old clothes not to dye over bleach.Easy to use..

RIT CLOTHES DYE
Purchased 1. Then 2 more. If you follow the instuctions the color quality will be a success. Easy to use which is why I chose the liquid than the powder and it worked. Rit dye is a semi-permanent dye. While it provides a strong color that is not easily washed out, it can fade over time, especially with repeated washings, exposure to sunlight, or the use of harsh detergents. I am satisfied with the reasonable price and dye quality with the clothes I chose to recolor.

Saved an Expensive Shirt!
I bought this black dye to fix bleach stains I accidentally made on my son’s authentic Versace collared shirt, and it worked perfectly. The color blended in seamlessly with the original fabric, completely covering the spots without leaving any uneven patches. I used a paint brush and painted it on. What I didn’t know is you need to heat up water and add salt. What I Liked:•The black matched beautifully no dullness or odd undertones.•Easy to apply just to the stained areas (spot dyeing worked well).•Saved me from having to replace an expensive shirt it looks brand new again. What could be better:• You need to heat up the water before you mix it which takes some time. I thought I could dip a paint brush in the bottle and paint it on the bleach spots• You need to add salt not sure why but after watching a YouTube video I figured that out• Will stain whatever you are dyeing your clothes on protect all surfaces you don’t want dyedOverall:This dye saved me a lot of money and a lot of frustration. Instead of replacing the shirt, I was able to restore it and keep it in my son’s wardrobe. Highly recommend if you need to cover bleach stains or refresh black clothing it’s a lifesaver!

Good for jeans
Dyed some black jeans. If you wanted to dye some jeans it's good to leave it inside the tub for a few hours more than the bottle suggests. In hot water. Good product I loved diy'ing my jeans!

Disappointing Black Dye—Turns Out Gray Instead
I purchased this black dye expecting a rich, deep black finish, but unfortunately, it didn’t deliver. Despite following the instructions meticulously, prepping the fabric correctly, using the recommended water temperature, and allowing ample time for color adherence, the results were underwhelming. Instead of a true black, my clothing turned out a dull gray at best. For those looking for a “bold, dark black”, this dye might not meet expectations. It could work for achieving lighter charcoal tones, but that wasn’t the intended result. A more concentrated formula or improved pigmentation might help this product perform better. If you’re searching for a “true black dye”, I’d recommend exploring other brands or additional dyeing techniques to intensify the color.
