Once I measured my calves I discovered that a wide calf version would be best. I purchased XXL and they are much better. They provide good amount of graduated pressure without cutting into my leg at the knee. I’m 5’3” so these do go up my know a little bit not in a ridiculous way. There is a little room in the toe (I have a size 8 foot) but it’s also not ridiculous. They are very comfortable & soft, wore well, and I had zero pain going to and from overseas (approx 22 hours to and 33 hours back).These are definitely recommended!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Order a size bigger than needed but GREAT socks otherwise *by D***E on March 25, 2025* Buy 1 size larger than you think you need! These shrink significantly in the wash (I washed two pair in cold water with the delicate cycle and gentle low heat tumble dry). The pink and blue pair were washed once and the gray pair have not yet been washed or worn.I typically wear size 16 or 18 jeans and xl or 2XL clothes because I like things loose fitting. Also I am a womens 10 shoe. I know the whole purpose of these are to be snug but I went ahead and ordered a 3X because other reviews mentioned shrinkage as well. I feared they might be too baggy and slip down but the 3X ended up being absolutely perfect. They were snug but not tight. Very comfortable and not hot or itchy. I wore them for a 15 hour drive across four states and then the second pair on the way home. I usually have swollen ankles after that long of sitting but these helped immensely. I am very very happy with them. Again, order a size larger and I expect them to shrink significantly with the first wash. With this in mind, they are close to a 5 star rating.
