We live in a townhome with neighbors on either side in a newer development. We heard from one of our neighbors that they accidentally touched the sprinkler, and this sets off some massive water for not only their unit, but their neighbors as well. I was setting up a squat rack that is literally just an inch from the ceiling in a certain part of the garage and not wanting to accidentally touch it while moving things around, I took precautions by setting this up first. It's a lot sturdier than I thought it would be. Would it hold if a steel beam hit it (like my squat rack is)? I hope I never have to find out. Luckily, I could set up the squat rack without accidentally touching the sprinkler, but oh man, I was nervous. The safety precaution is reassuring nonetheless.

As a parent, living in a townhome with kids can be an adventure. Not only do you deal with limited space, but you frequently also have to worry about them accidentally bumping a fire sprinkler with a ball or toy. I'm thankful to have the sprinklers in my home, but the peace of mind in case of a fire is frequently counteracted by the worry of a minor flood if a sprinkler head is accidentally contacted by my kids or use. Fortunately, with these easy to install sprinkler covers, I can add a bit of protection and peace of mind. They're easy to install (being careful where you drill of course) and hold securely once installed. I don't know that they'd hold up against a BIG impact like a basketball or a mattress or something being moved down the hallway, but from a simple bump or minor impact, it provides an extra layer of peace of mind without worry that they'll interfere with the sprinkler itself should the need ever arise. Definitely recommend them!

We set up a cat jungle gym in this area (only wall space that would work) and found this online to help avoid the cat from messing with the sprinkler or accidentally touching it. Works perfectly, she has no interest in it.
