It keeps the food cold until lunchtime! The food tray is dishwasher safe-just make sure to put it on the top rack, or it's easy to clean by hand and stores well. This product fits perfectly inside reusable lunch bags and is better for the environment (no more plastic baggies at lunchtime). It also comes in a variety of colors, so you can keep each child's separate (important if a child has food allergies!)This lunchbox is well worth the money. I love these lunch boxes. I ordered one a year or so ago for my daughter for school, and now my 2 year old needs one for when we travel. So convenient and easy to pack in a cooler or lunch box. Highly recommend these boxes, as I’ve ordered 2 of them year apart. I would add one thing about how much it stores. I believe these are best suited to 5-6 years and younger. With my 6 year old I do have to add more to her lunch boxes than what will fit inside the container. Maybe she just eats more than your average 6 year old, idk, but my 2 year old will eat all of what I put in it one one setting. So if your considering this more someone older than 6 just know that it maybe hold enough for that type of appetite. But overall a solid purchase and I’m very happy with them.

Best prime day purchase! These are SO worth the money saved in baggies and other storage containers. I love Bento boxes for my kids for school lunches. They fit perfectly in our lunch boxes and keep their lunch safe from being smashed when on the bus. The compartments keep the food separate and fresh. The ice pack underneath is great for keeping things cool. All of the pieces come out for easy washing. Probably the thing I love that most about this is how easy it is to open (yet stays securely sealed). I purchased this for my incoming kindergartner, and she is able to open and close it without trouble. The color and speckle sides made her squeal with excitement!

The Chill pack is great. It is more convenient than using individual ice blocks in the lunch bag. It keeps fruits and veggies chilled (not cold, but chilled) nicely until lunchtime. It does add a little extra weight to the lunchbox, but not significantly more than slim ice blocks would.The size of the food sections is bigger than the ones in a lunch box without the chill pack. - And I find these slightly larger sections make for a better serving size.The lid on the chill-pack lunch box opens straight up, but does NOT open all the way to lay flat. It’s not a major problem, but it is clearly easier to pack the non-chill-pack boxes which open flat.All three of my kids have one of each type of lunch box. We switch types with the seasons, using the chill pack boxes during the warmer months - to school, sports, pool, etc.All of our Bentgo lunchboxes look like new. I do hand wash them, but it’s quick and easy. Super durable. Latches and seal work great after two years. Bentgo lunchboxes, lunch bags, and backpacks - Our first and only choice. The company and products do not disappoint.

Great quality and great idea. The only draw back is if you need to heat up SOME of the food you pack then you have to separate out. It’d be nice if they had removable compartments that allow say fruit to be removed in their container while heating up the rest. I’d only recommend this lunchbox for cold lunches or somewhere that doesn’t make it harder on the staff to heat up your child’s meal.

I like that my four year old can easily open it. The removable ice pack is great. Easy to clean. Has a good seal. I have a child with ARFID, so the four compartment lunch box was the best option to incorporate more choices. The blue rubber around the edge is nice, helps you grip the lunch box if carrying. The red and blue are bold and bright. (Perfect for a spider Man fan). Heavier than some lunch boxes. Great value for the cost.

I love this so much. I am a Bariatric patient and needed a small portion meal prep option I love that it comes with a cool pack to freeze as well. That makes taking small portions slowly much easier. The seal on the whole thing is great as well. After the first one arrived I bought four more in other colors during Amazon prime days. They were all the same great quality. These are the most expensive meal prep containers I’ve bought but also 100% my favorite.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:We’ve been using these for our kids lunches for years! The compartments are the perfect size for little portions, and it helps me pack a variety of healthy options without everything getting mixed together (which my child really appreciates!). It seals well, so no leaks, even with yogurt or applesauce. Super easy to clean and fits perfectly in a standard lunch bag. Highly recommend for anyone trying to make lunch a little more fun and organized! Also love that the ice pack is part of the bento box!
