I got these for my daughter to use when she trims her chihuahua's nails. It's usually traumatic for both of them as her dog is a bit dramatic. He'll nip and scream until she is done so at least she can get the job done quicker with these gloves. It gives her complete protection while still being able to be nimble enough to trim his nails.

I got these because my family has a variety of pets. One of them is a hedgehog that obviously can be tough to pick up if it feels threatened or is having a bad day. The spikes on a hedgehog are something else and I wanted a glove that would prevent or eliminate that. For the most part, these gloves work on the blue area. However, the wrist area is somewhat susceptible to getting pierced by the hedgehog. Overall, these are pretty good. I just need to make sure the hedgehog stays on the blue area of the gloves.
