Each candle uses 2 AA batteries. I placed mine in our fireplace for ambiance, paired them with some string lights and LOVE the look. The candles come on automatically every day. Interestingly, they come on one at a time, almost like some ghost is lighting each one. The timer allows you to have them on for 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours, and then they turn off automatically. So easy to add some evening warmth to our family room without any effort.

Love these candles. They look real with how the candle flickers. I got the grey and they look so elegant around my house in candle holders and in the fireplace. Love the remote and timer. It is plastic around and you need to wipe the finger prints off but like how looks like glass around

Issue Detail: The marginal increase in girth of rechargeable AAs prevents the circular base cover from snapping into place securely. I had to use durable tape on the underside of all three candles to ensure the bases stayed firmly closed and the batteries maintained contact. This is a failure of tolerance testing by the manufacturer. While it is a functional fix, requiring tape on a new, premium product is disappointing and detracts from the overall quality score. FINAL THOUGHTS: Worth the Minor Modification If you plan on using standard disposable alkaline AA batteries, you can safely consider these a 5-star product. The beauty and functionality are top-tier. However, if you, like me, prefer rechargeables, be aware of the necessary modification. Even with the minor taping required, the resulting premium aesthetic is worth the small effort. They deliver impressive, maintenance-free ambiance.

These candles are much better than I expected. Classy and look great as decoration pieces in the house. Awesome lighting and features

Had to come back to write a review just to mention how long the battery life goes on these! I’m a person who frequently uses battery powered ambient lights and most of the time I am changing the batteries every few weeks even if I don’t keep them on long. I have had these candles on overnight or while days for five weeks straight and they are still going! I will say they don’t look super real, but they are nice quality, add a nice touch, and are worth it just for the efficiency alone!
