Surefire EP4 Sonic Ear Defenders

I was looking for a good set of ear defence for use on shooting ranges, and the Surefire EP4 Sonic Ear Defenders (Pair) looked like a good alternative to the bulky over head ear defence I had commonly used (British army issue).I ordered a set of Sure Fire ear defence in hopes of a comfortable ear defence that I didn't have to keep removing.When I opened the parcel the Surefire EP4 Sonic Ear Defenders were well packaged, packed with a cardboard backing with all the product info, where the defenders themselves were packed in their plastic protective carry case along with the lanyard. The carry case is very sturdy and compact, with a chain to attach the case to something.The ear defenders were very flexible an seem to hold their shape very well even after being squashed in their case etc. Closing the covers on the ear defence was very fidgety and would require a bit of patience to get this done, definitely not something that can be done on the fly,The fit on these were great for me, I spent some time sizing my ears before I went and purchased, but the sizing chart is not too convincing, read the rest of the reviews to see what I mean, lots of people have commented that they come in a bit smaller than advertised, although I seemed to be lucky. The actual in ear component of the ear defence can be adjusted for a better seal inside the ear which is a good feature, and the 'locking arm' on the external component does a great job at keeping them secure and in place.Although I've not had a chance to use these on the shooting ranges yet, I made use of them when working with power tools last weekend, mostly an electric hedge trimmer which operated at around 110 Decibels. I used these trimmers for about 3 hours with the ear defence in place, at no time did they feel loose or uncomfortable in my ears and after removing them I had no ringing in my ears like I usually do.I hope to use these on the shooting range soon, if they don't hold up well I will come back and edit my review. Unitll then, I would definitely recommend these.EDITI have now used these on several occasions and my 5 star review still stands, they provide excellent protection while still allowing for some awareness around you compared to the over ear style ear defence. the lanyard can sometimes be fidgety but all in all a great set of ear defence with minimal bulk.

got these because I’m autistic and have bad sensory issues, been using them ever since ! take up much less space than my old ones (which were the headphone-like ones) and they filter out loud noises great. putting them in is a bit confusing and can be a little difficult, but once you get used to it they get easier to use. would definitely recommend cleaning your ears before using, though ! don’t wanna make that mistake again (they’re pretty hard to clean).overall an amazing product :]

Excellent quality, I brought a set of these a few years back but I've moved house and so I brought a set againI got these for when I go on nights out. I am hypersensitive to sounds so I can get overwhelmed.I have noticed that when I wear these I experience much clearer and much better sound quality compared to everyone around me. Everything just sounds super clear and music sounds great rather than super loud and distorted.I can also hear everyone around me that speaks to me and I end up realising that when I reply to them they can't hear me because I forget that I can hear them perfectly but for them to hear me I have to shout up - which proves that these really do work!I have small ears and so most in ear ear defenders fall out or really hurt. These fit great and due to their design they DO NOT fall out and feel secure in my ears because of how the design specially copies the shape of the ear. They're also quite descreat and so most people don't even see them until I show them or they come really close to me.They're definitely worth the investment.

I have always hated crowded/loud places. I come back exhausted with a headache and spend most of my time thinking 'why am I here - I hate it here'BUT then I started dating someone who loves concerts/festivals and just general loud things. So I bought these. Oh my jebus these are incredible.I have worn them to various concerts and even the cinema and they work incredibly. It just feels like the world is a more acceptable level of sound. I can hear my boyfriend perfectly when he talks to me, as well as the music, its just they are less painful.I will say I'm not used to having things in my hears (i like headphones that sit on my ears) so they are a little weird for me, but I am getting used to them. I also have small ears and they fit fine.They arent a block for sound though, so if that is what you are after I would look at something else, but if you are looking for something to take that painful edge off loud places then look no further, you have found the solution.

Fantastic product, picked these up to replace a pair of plugs I was using for riding my motorbike that were OK. The first couple of times, placing them in the ear was a bit awkward but you soon get the hang of it, once in they are extremely comfy, to the point that I forget that I'm wearing them. The noise reduction with the caps out is great, whilst riding they shut out most of the wind noise excessive engine noise etc, but I can hear ambient sounds really well. Have only tried them with caps in at home as I've not need them on the bike but they seem great blocking most everything you don't want and damping everything else, with the caps out, unwanted sounds were blocked but speech was crystal clear. All in all very good plug if you ride, I probably won't use anything else for a while

Quite expensive & no more effective than cheap earplugs. Design was good as they fit sung in the ear.

Was a bit sceptical when I received them that they would work, having worn them for an hour shooting they gave me a head ache and were not really stopping the noise enough, after a bit of research I find the average ear canal is 25mm to the ear drum, maybe this was why they hurt, I ordered the large and decided to cut of the end cap leaving just two, much better now, they seal in my ear better and dont give me any pain or headaches, hope this helps if you have the same problem

These ear plugs are easy to use and are very comfortable. I literally forgot I was wearing them while running the snow blower. With these on I had no need to wear headphone ear protection.

Great fit. Works well for noisy environments. Using this as an earpiece for coms. Stays put in my ear.

Estou muito satisfeito com o material, aparentemente não agride a pele, não trás aquele incômodo dentro do ouvido como os comuns, excelente resistência. Gostei muito da cor também, irá facilitar na visualização e colocação no ouvido. Muito fácil o manejo e o que mais me impressiona é a qualidade em tudo, desde o fio de conexão dos plugs, até a caixinha e os pluga propriamente. Earplugs work great, they feel amazing and stay in place very well but most importantly they block out noise, just wish they were a lil bit cheaper in price.
