Tormented Royal (The Knights of Echoes Cove Book 1)

So confused by this storyline. At no point is there any explanation as to what happened to her mum, or her dad (strange death) or the relationship between the guys and the main girl. There is no detail as to why they hate her even right to the end it’s all just kept secret even as a reader you have no idea what’s going on. An then these other guys come into it an there’s no explanation as to who they are or why they’re involved. I mean I like abit of a story / secretive leading but not the whole way through. There is just nothing really encouraging you to want to read the next book. At least give us a clue in to what the hell is going on. Overall the storyline could have been amazing but I just got fed up an wanted to get to the end as quick as possible just to see if I could find out what was going on, an then it just ends with no explanation. I supposed it’s to try and make you buy the second book but actually it’s just not enough.

Well Lily Wildhart did not go easy in her debut this is definitely a darker read than I expected and I've read a fair bit of bully romance Miss Octavia Royal does not get an easy time of things. She is not wanted by her family or her old friends in Echoes Cove but she has to endure it.Maverick, Finley, Lincoln and East well they are not for me at the moment and I normally fall straight for the bad boys but they have a long journey to be redeemed for me.Indi was a gift and I loved that Octavia found such an amazing friend, I loved their relationship.This book is shrouded with mystery even down to Lily's dad's demise...I'm not buying it!!I would probably class this as a more medium burn RH as there are some steamy scenes.

I hate giving negative reviews but this book confused me so much.It has lots of good parts and I did read it all the way through but it was driving me insane how many pages were just about her and her friend! It was like small clips about the guys here and there then pages of her and her friend. It just didn’t really feel like a romance. Even at the end of the book I feel like I don’t even know hardly anything about any of the guys they was just in the background all the way through.

Look, I love a mystery just like the next one, but this story just didn't develop. It was a constant loop of, bully, push,pull. With an overarching theme of mystery, but that tension is only created when we at least find a slither of thread to unravel. I wanted more and regular pov from the guys, I also didn't buy Indi. It was just too contrived. Don't know if I will download the next book. If anyone wants to convince me- feel free!
