Soundcore by Anker Liberty 4 NC Wireless Earbuds, 98.5% Noise Reduction, Adaptive Noise Cancelling to Ears and Environment, Hi-Res Sound, 50H Battery, Wireless Charging, Bluetooth 5.3

Let me start out by saying that this is a very solid/compelling product in this price range. The Liberty 4 NC's do a lot of things well for it's price point. The Noise Cancelling for it's time was among the best(better than the Earfun Air Pro 4 in my experience) in class, the sound quality is decent out of the box(they offer EQ via the app if you want to tune it), battery life is superb(I can use it for hours in a single session), and the build quality is decent. I believe for it's price segment (varies throughout, but I'll pick the price point of say $60-70), it's a very strong contender and you can't go wrong with this product for the right price. However, I do have 2 qualms.. one of them is specific to me though so your mileage may vary: First, the fitting.. the shape of the earpiece does not fit my ear too well, I do not have large ears per-se, but I use the largest ear tips in order to get a better seal. Not only do I have issues with getting a proper seal in my ear canal, but they also don't seat well in my ear, as they tend to fall out more easily. I don't seem to have this issue with some other earbuds(like the Earfun Air Pro 4), but I do have this issue with the Liberty 4 NC's. I will say that it's not necessarily a deal breaker though, just an annoyance, something to watch out for as it depends on your ears. Second qualm is the mic performance is just mediocre, though it is adequate for it's price class. I don't use transparency mode very often, but they seem to work ok. I'm glad that these have a transparency mode at least. --- I also wanted to note, as I alluded to earlier, that I have both the Soundcore Liberty 4 NC and the Earfun Air Pro 4's. In my opinion, other than the fitting issue(these don't seat well in my ear, and the eartips struggle a bit to get a good seal.. perhaps due to the angle of the shape of the earbuds), the Liberty 4 NC's are a notch better as a product compared to the EAP4's, especially when it comes to Noise Cancelling. I have tested both of these in a noisy cafe, and the Liberty 4 NC's noise cancelling is noticeably superior to the Earfun Air Pro 4's. So depending on your priorities, I'd still say overall, I prefer the Liberty 4 NC's.

I've gone through several pairs of cheap and mid-price ear buds (< $100). Three I like are the earfun pro 3, 1more comfobuds pro, and now the Anker Liberty 4NC. Overall the Ankers win hands down. I think they have the best sound and by far the best wind resistance. After you load up their app and connect to the buds it gives you a hearing test to give a base level of response, then gives a bunch of A-B comparisons to a piece of music asking which one you prefer as it tweaks the response curve. I think the end result is great, but I'm no audiophile and am 65, so take that for what it is worth. The other two are good, too (I rate the 1more buds above the earfun's, but I like them all). I got the 1mores first, and if I were only going by sound quality I'd have stopped there (glad I didn't, but I didn't know that at the time!). I usually listen to them when I ride my bike on a local rails-to-trails path. The downfall of the 1mores is that there is a lot of wind noise that comes through. Noise cancelling overall is good, but not for wind. So I saw the earfuns on sale, so tried them. Much better wind noise reduction, but still more than I'd like. Finally I saw these and bought a pair on their launch. As I mentioned above the sound is great, and the wind noise reduction is very, very good. I hear a little from time to time, but most of the time I feel the wind on my face but can only hear it if I am really looking for it. They have a lot of modes you can set it too, but the one that works the best for me against wind is manual mode, maximum (level 5) noise cancelling with wind reduction on. They remember their settings no problem after you take them out of their case. The earfuns seemed to turn off sometimes (go back to non-cancelling mode). The worst thing about that in the earfun case is that in order to connect to the buds with their app you MUST have an internet connection. This was a problem on my last flight as you might imagine. The 1mores were great on the flight -- and no issues about connecting to the app in flight. It was a transatlantic flight and they ran out of juice so I switched to the earfuns for a while so they could get enough charge back into them. With the 1mores the engine noise and other extraneous airplane sounds were almost gone and I enjoyed my music. I have not flown with the Anker's yet. Hopefully they will do as well as the 1more's there (but I'll have the 1more's along just in case!). Supposedly the battery lasts longer in the Anker's, but only ride for about 3 hours at a time so I have not tested that. One final GREAT thing about the Ankers vs the others I've tried is that you can disable the on-bud controls. I always have my phone on my bike, so if I need to change modes I can do so. Since I found settings I like I don't need to anyway.... In the app you can select what every combination of taps does individually. And every combination has a do nothing setting. You'll still get a beep if you trigger the setting while inserting or wiggling the bud around, but it has no effect. Just what I want. If I want to skip a song my phone is right there, usually with the app up that is playing said songs. Sometimes I start hearing wind, and that just means the buds have slipped a bit. A quick twist or wiggle and the wind is gone. They've never fallen out, but I'm riding a recumbent so I'm just sitting in a lawn chair while I pedal. I use these only for listening to music. My wife called me when I was out while using the earfuns and she said I sounded fine. I have not used these so far to talk on the phone while I ride so I cannot speak to that.

Were it not for noise reduction I would have rated a solid 5 star for sound quality. Very impressive at all ranges with excellent base, mid-range and very good high end crisp treble. I've had other brands of earbuds and these exceed those in quality of sound. I've used and have several Anker brand electronic products and have ALWAYS found them to be of exceptional quality and these earbuds are no exception. They come with a nice charging case and 4 sets of ear bud tips covers which offer a good range of sizes so the buds will fit securely in your ear. And this is critical for not only optimum sound quality, but for what noise reduction they do provide - more on that later. Be sure to download the excellent Soundcore app to your phone so you can customize the features to your taste and to achieve max performance. There is even a cool test you can run with the app to test the fit of the earbuds so you can change the rubber tips to fit your ear. And it works great. I played with it a bit and every time I did not have the correct piece or I pulled the bud out slightly, the test came out negative. There are some other settings and features provided by the app including equalizer settings (I didn't end up using this feature since I didn't think it improved the sound over standard setting), and on the noise reduction, what type of noise you are trying to filter, etc. Really an excellent app so I suggest using it. The set up is minimal and the buds pair quickly with Bluetooth. I'm also quite impressed with the battery life as it is in line with that as advertised. And of course it charge with any USB C charger and comes with a USB C cable, which most of us have a zillion of by now lying around anyway. But with regard to noise reduction, I am disappointed. Perhaps this is a expectation issue but what I was expecting was when I placed the buds in my ear with NC activated, all sounds would be eliminated or at minimum reduced to virtually nothing. This is not the case or at least my experience. In various tests around the house and outside, I always heard about the same amount of noise as I would have with just earbuds in the ear muffling out sounds as they would since they are jammed in the ear canal like ear plugs. And of course I tested this with NC on and off to determine any difference and there was minimal. Driving in the car with no music playing, there was minimal difference but with music playing there for some reason seemed to be an improvement in sound with NC on vs off. So perhaps they work best when playing music and are really not intended to block out sounds with no sound other than the "white noise" the buds produce sans music?? Not sure. And I highly doubt these Anker's do a lesser job than any other earbud brand. Anyway, they do sound great playing music in the car. The real test will be in a month when I take a long international flight. If they can block out even half the engine noise I'll be a happy listener! I imagine headphone NC would work better for obvious reasons, but I simply don't have the room to carry yet another bulky item on board in my briefcase, so earbuds are my only option. For the money, I'm happy with them overall.

I actually contacted support because I genuinely thought something was wrong. I did their troubleshooting and that didn’t work. A day later I checked the app for the battery level again and it FINALLY went down 1 bar (there are 5 bars on the battery icon so I can only assume that one bar is worth about 20% of battery. I had one in either ear for 8hrs a day for 3 days. These are quite loud, and I like loud music but they can truly get too loud. Can’t complain really I do enjoy it, this means I only run them at 40-60% volume at any time. I am truly impressed by the battery life, performance and features of the earbuds and case. The ANC is very good. When music is playing I literally cannot hear people speak. All I see is lips moving ! The case wirelessly charges, but you won’t need to do that often evidently ! If you have a wireless charging pad for AirPods that will work for these as well. The app is easy to use and pretty quick to connect to the buds, not AirPods level of speed but pretty good for a 3rd party connection. The app can be used to fully customize multiple different EQs, set different controls on the buds (there are 4 per each bud, single, double, triple and hold press). Sound quality definitely beats apple and Samsungs flagships earbuds. When I listened to these and discovered all the features, I started questioning why I ever spent $250 on AirPods. Despite all these good features I feel there are some things Anker could improve. A fatal flaw pretty much all TWS earbuds have is the charging case. Yes it charges fast via Type c or wirelessly. But it opens super easy. Which means if it gets dropped your earbuds all pretty much certain to go flying out. I don’t judge too hard for this because pretty much every company that make TWS earbuds do this. The case also feels a bit cheap. It’s very lightweight and the hinge has some light movement too it when closed like the fit isn’t quite perfect. It also collects dust on the inside (closed part of the case where the buds are) when closed. You cannot control volume with the touch controls on the buds, and there is no Hey siri. I wish there was a way to customize the transparency frequency response. I cook for a living and I was wearing one bud with transparency on. I put some oil in the pan (making a crackling sound) well the buds didn’t process that as such. It turned into a very high pitched, loud, staticky sound that was actually quite unbearable. I hurried to turn off transparency after that. Most things it processes ok, but others is sound very weird or digitized. Pros: -Great, slam or deafening ANC -Easy to use, quick connecting app -fully customizable multiple EQs - case charges wirelessly and type c -battery life lasts a super long time -buds recharge super fast in the case -Excellent soundcore sound quality that destroys the competition - Value you can’t beat that won’t break your wallet Cons: -case is a bit flimsy (hinge is a tad loose) -case collects dust on inside when closed -case easily opens to lose buds for potential drops - No swipe control on earbuds -the touch pad on the buds is sort of small, I have to re-tap sometimes. -no volume control or hey siri on buds

I love that these earbuds connect to my phone immediately once the case is opened which makes these very easy to use. The quality of these earbuds are fantastic. I love the sound quality and how far I can walk away from my phone and they keep in range. I accidentally left my phone in my car and I was inside my house and didn't lose connection until I walked into my basement on the other side of the house. The control buttons are easy to use but I would prefer the squeeze buttons instead of the tap. It fits easily into my pocket, but I did purchase a silicone case for it for extra portability and protection. I got these on a really good sale and am quite happy with my purchase. Great Value.

I've had these earbuds for around 5 months now and I think I can give them a pretty solid review. The earbuds have a great battery life, I only need to charge the case around once per week max and that's with hours of daily wear. I've even fallen asleep with them in (more often than not) and when I wake up, they still have a good amount of battery left. Now for those of us who are unfortunate enough to have small ears, these may not be for us. My ears are small, not crazy small but small enough for most earbuds to be too large and cause uncomfortable pressure. These earbuds stay in either really well or I'm having to adjust them constantly. I'm not sure why this is the case but it is. However, the number of times I've fallen asleep in them, I don't typically wake up with them missing. I do feel that these are a bit heavy because they really FEEL like they're there. My ears get fatigued from them after a few hours. In terms of the bluetooth and multipoint connectivity, this is where they lose some stars. At first, they were great and I was thrilled to finally have a pair of earbuds with multipoint, however this was short lived. Sometimes they connect flawlessly, other time not at all. They will take several times to connect to just my phone, or if they do connect to my phone without issue, they have problems connecting to my computer. If you own any bluetooth products by Bose, you'll know that their multipoint connection works pretty seamlessly (in my experience) and your phone audio isn't automatically prioritized over your computer. The same cannot be said for these earbuds. If I have a video actively playing on my computer, and I happen to open an app on my phone, they'll automatically start playing whatever is on my phone. Additionally, I've had issues with the sound cutting out on my computer when I send a text from my phone without any sound on. In general, the multipoint works as it should around 60% of the time. There's also the occasional issue where they will take several tries to connect to my phone which can be very aggravating. My final thoughts are as follows: these are really good for the price! The sound quality is great, they're pretty noise cancelling, and the app makes them customizable. Their shortcomings are not in the functionality as earbuds but in what they're advertising as multipoint connection. If you're like me and have small ears, these may not be the most comfortable for you. But if you only really want them to listen to things on your phone or computer (one at a time) and you have normal sized ears, I think you'd really like these!

Good battery life, pretty cheap when you take into account the sound quality, battery life, and longevity of the earbuds (mine lasted a year befire needing replacements ive bought these twice 2 years in a row), only needed to charge the pod itself once every week if that and the earbuds would last through my average work shift so almost 8 hours every day and would be recharged and ready to use again in less than 4 hours, their compact so any size pocket fits them if you need something easy to store away or grab and go quickly these will work for that because they are obviously easily portable. They feel good in my ears and even have decent base quality which was surprising to me. I haven't had any issues with connecting to my phone in the year ive had them they always worked well and sounsed good as long as I kept them clean. Now for the bad news, they only last about a year so get ready to pay for a new pair every year. They may or may not occasionally play harsh static in 1 earbud this might have been just in my second pair as the first pair I bought didnt do this but beware of that maybe being an issue. They work standalone with only 1 earbud but occasionally I had problems going from 1 earbud to 2 if I wanted to noise isolate for a walk home or something like that id have to turn both off by putting them in the case and closing the case for a second or two then removing them again to re -pair then to my phone properly. Overall its a good pair of Bluetooth earbuds and I dont regret buying them (twice).

I ordered 3 different earbuds all within a similar price range(+\- $30) to figure out which one I liked the most - Soundcore Liberty 4 NC, P40i, and JBL Vibe Beam. Here are my notes and comparisons. The Liberty 4 NC is my favorite but there is one aspect I don’t like. They Liberty’s are very clear with good bass and their app allows you to customize EQ settings which is deal breaker for me. (All three pairs have custom EQs within their respective apps). The noise cancellation on the Liberty’s is great, comparable or even better than AirPros 2 and the fit is superb and on par with the P40i. The JBL Vibe was less comfortable but more so than JBL Tune(ordered these a while back). The JBL Vibes are not noise canceling and I knew that before hand so I’m not knocking it. The JBLs are fine for the price point but not the best for quality as they use 8mm drivers vs 11mm drivers for the Soundcore. The one thing I don’t like with the Liberty’s is the slightest white noise I get when between songs or silent parts. The P40i’s don’t have that problem. The P40i have great bass and fit just as well but they lack in higher frequencies and that’s important for audiophiles. The P40i also have a much friendlier app interface with many more preset features. BUT the Liberty’s have an option to set up your “ideal listening EQ” and that is a great feature as it adjusts to your preferred sound through samples and takes the guess work out. Overall the Liberty 4 NC’s took the cake with respect to comfort and sound quality. To me, it was worth the extra $. I can’t speak on longevity as I received all three and have been testing them individually the past couple days. Not knocking any of these, just trying to give an honest opinion to those who are debating price/quality
