I love my Dyson stick vacuum and I've had it for years, so naturally it's starting to wear down. I already had to replace the brush head once, and that replacement broke down on me. I really didn't want to shell out another $100 for a new one, so I took a chance on this - and it works great! I was surprised to see it had a light on it, as my original didn't. That's a nice touch. This one also moves more smoothly, and it's a touch quieter, which I appreciate a lot. It doesn't perform as well on rugs, but on the hardwood floor it holds up to the original! I've only used it once so far, but I'm a big fan. For the price, it's a great replacement.

I decided to try head this with my Dyson V10, and I’m really glad I did. I was a bit hesitant at first since it’s not an official Dyson part, but it works just as well, if not better, in some ways. The suction is strong, and it’s especially effective on hard floors. I’ve two small kids, so I need something that can handle a lot of mess and dirt! And this does the job perfectly. One of the things I love about it is how much quieter it is compared to the original head. It also feels lighter and glides smoothly without that heavy dragging feeling on the carpet. The LED lights are amazing! they make it so much easier to see what I’m vacuuming under furniture and soo fun to see the light! I’m really happy with how it performs.

This attachment is perfect for our older Dyson! I love the light on it and works smoothly. It is easy to clean and works better than the original one that came with the vacuum.

Basil works very well and the light is super helpful. Unfortunately, the corrugated plastic pickup tube gets clogged really fast with anything that isn’t simple hair or dirt. We have a lot of long hair animals in a small house and the hair alone is usually all right, but if anything else is picked up like hay, dog toy stuffing, or piece of fabric, the tube clogs stopping suction. This is the third head we’ve had. The first being factory and second was a different after market brand and neither has this problem.

How stupid do you have to be to fully submerge your Dyson stick vacuum head in water? This stupid.I was afraid I was going to have to shell out another $400 on a vacuum, but I found this head and decided to give it a shot. It works just as well as the original, and I do appreciate the light on the front. It’s quiet and moves fluidly just like you’d want. Two thumbs up!

Worked good on hard floors. We have a dog that sheds a lot, and thought this might help. Yet there were several issues;1. The dog hair gets stuck on the main cleaning/rolling head, at the edges. This has to be cleaned after nearly every use2. The small wheels in the front get clocked with hair, and after nearly every use they have to be popped out and cleaned.3. The felt (?) material has be been cleaned off several times during each use, as the dog hair just keeps clumping around the edges where the felt is.4. The swivel head doesn’t allow you to get into tight spaces. The Dyson is a lot better here.Anything that breaks after 3 months gets 1 star. The Dyson head lasted two years, had fewer issues, but didn’t work as well on hard floors.

- While some reviews have noted reduced suction power for this motorhead, I found it to be only slightly less powerful than the original motorhead. - The roller is about 2 inches shorter than the original so it does not cover as wide an area. I did not find this to be an issue while using it and only realized the difference when I measured it. It maneuvers almost as well as the original Dyson when vacuuming and I had no difficulty using it. - As noted by others, the LED lights are not as bright as they could be and are really only useful in very dark corners. However, that's when you need them the most and they are a nice addition. - I bought this primarily because it is advertised to be easier on our new luxury vinyl floors. Unsure if this is really true as the bristles on the original Dyson Motorhead aren't that stiff, but at the $35 price point I paid it was certainly worth trying. My 4 star rating is only because the motorhead is slightly less powerful than the original, but I am satisfied with the purchase and would buy again.
