Keep buying this product because it is NON-Fortified and it tastes great. A word to the wise, it is already high in B vitamins, why would you want synthetic b vitamins sprayed on a natural product? It is also high in protein and since I am a vegan, I take it daily as a natural supplement. Actually, take it by the spoonful sometimes, in addition to putting it over the top of salads, etc. Excellent product, taste, and size.

I have recently started to eat more of a vegan diet. I watch my protein intake closely to make sure I get enough. This helps me add protein. It doesn't taste like any cheese I have eaten, but it is similar to cheese. Almost like it could be another type of cheese. The best part is that I like the taste and it is easy to add to foods. I love that it is organic also and the price is very reasonable. I like that it has a scoop in the bag and it has a resealable zip lock. I will purchase again.

This organic, non-fortified yeast has a pleasant 'cheesy' texture, and if you combine it with salt and almond flour (or similar) it makes a nice vegan replacement for parmesan cheese. It works well in pasta, pizza, sauce, or even as a topping to make vegetables more appetizing for kids.It doesn't have that fatty, gooey texture like softer cheeses, but it does thicken things up like parmesan would. We like it very much.We've tried a handful of other nutritional yeast, and this is one of our favorites. I guess it's milder than the others, less bitter, but still gives you that cheesy motif. We had never tried this brand. We were a little weary because it is sold in a bag instead of a solid container. The contents of the bag have a bright yellow color, which they say comes from the fortified vitamins. The added nutrition from the fortified vitamins is helpful for those on a plant-based diet. It is a mix, with half of it being nice flakes, and the rest being powder. It must be harder to maintain the flake texture in a soft bag. Previously we bought Nutritional Yeast in a hard container that protected the texture. A flaky texture makes it easier to combine with prepared foods. Whereas the powder form may be easier for recipes.This product definitely has a very nice cheesy flavor to it. It goes well with many foods. It is a good product. We give it 4 stars only because we were looking for a more consistently flaky product.

You can buy nutritional yeast from almost all grocery stores. However those are most likely fortified with synthetic vitamins and iron. You do not want/need that. This thing in its original form is already rich in those. So I prefer getting the organic, untouched unfortified option which is only available online. This has slightly milder taste but flakes are relatively bigger than those availble in groceries which lead to better texture. Overall I add this to pasta, steamed vegetables, toasts and many other main dish or side dishes. It enhances flavor, boosts nutritional value and provides fiber and protein. I really love it

I never tried it before to replace cheese, but my wife was having trouble consuming dairy products and we decided to give a try.This was the best deal by the time of purchasing. The bag is very well made and can be resealed. The texture is great with even flakes, Ive seem some people complaining about other products presenting poor texture with powdery content.We used a feel times and although I may never completely replace cheese with this, it does it’s job and some dishes that we made were flavorful.A little bit goes a long way and this bag will last for several dishes. Great deal!
