However, this is an excellent replacement. It is Gorgeous! The detailing is absolutely beautiful and can be seen on both sides. It is so soft to the touch and did not change after washing. It has some weight to it but does not feel extremely heavy. I am always cold and it keeps me warm. I believe I will keep this on my bed year round, both summer and winter. As far as the size goes, if you have a KING SIZE BED, you may be disappointed with the size of this coverlet. I have a very thick QUEEN SIZE mattress and it almost touches the floor at the foot of the bed. It does NOT go to the floor on the sides of the bed as shown in the picture, but it does come down far enough to still look really nice. It comes with two King Size pillow shams, but it does not come with a bed skirt. I would recommend the KING SIZE for a QUEEN SIZE BED. I think you'll be very pleased with it if you order it.
