Strictly Briks 10" X 10" 24 Color Construction Base Plates - 24 Pack Bundle - Compatible with all Major Brands

I thought far too long about whether I should buy these or stump up the extra for Lego-brand baseplates. Having bought and received them, my worries are unfounded. The plates are a standard plate thickness (3.2 mm excluding stud height), and therefore more rigid than the thin Lego baseplates. There are pros and cons to this. The cons are that there is more of a bump when rolling or driving a vehicle onto or off a plate, and also that they are not the same thickness as any of the road baseplates either from Lego or other manufacturers. On the other hand, you can incorporate them into builds in a way you can't with thin baseplates, for example as bridge decks, slanted roofs or floors in multi-storey buildings. Also, the thicker edge means that you can use them for a Lego play table surface without needing to stick them down; simply fix a wooden bead round the edge of an MDF board to make a rim 3.2 mm high, and they will stay put (until you want to swap the colours around!).

Very impressed - got 24 to make a large Lego table. All base blocks were a different colour, very attractive. They are slightly less rigid and feel slightly lighter than the Lego branded boards, but on a solid surface they are great - fully compatible with the Lego, and none of the issues of poor fit I’ve found with cheaper brands previously. I have them laid out like tiles, and they fit perfectly together to make a huge continuous surface. Very impressive price buying in bulk too - £47 for 24. The cheapest Lego 10x10 boards were £7 each, so would be £168 for same number.The undersides are a bit bare, with only 4 tubes for each 9 studs, which might be an issue if you were using them as a roof, but the tubes are a 1:1 ratio to studs in each corner and the middle, so they will be stackable - the 24 pack didn’t come with the tall pieces for stacking but any bricks would do.Also quick delivery, well packaged.

I cannot recommend these base plates highly enough. I have bought several of these lately .They are brilliant quality, fully compatible with the 'leading' brand of bricks , perfect 'clutch' and the range of colours is refreshing from the standard 'official' offering of just green and tan . These plates are sturdy, do not warp, and can also be used as building plates, unlike the flimsy overpriced 'official' offering. These have obviously been designed by folks who actually have an interest in brick building and it shows in the quality. If you are looking for affordable quality baseplates in an amazing range of colours ...these are the ones!

Excellent value.About a third the cost of LEGO.The translucent colours are an added bonus.The basic plates are ideal for sea,land (or even Mars).They will fit very nicely in my City layout.I am very impressed with this companies product.

Disappointed generally. 4 were damaged, to get my money back I would of had to send them all back ! So I decided to take the hit. Didn't like any of the transparent bases. I also would of preferred to choose which colours I wanted rather than have a random collection.
