Idk about the other reviews; did we get the same guitar?
I put mine together and couldn’t stop playing it for an hour straight. pickups are great, tone is amazing, and my paint job is eye candy. tuning was a nightmare with new strings along with spring counterbalance, but everything is in tune for now. Only downside is one of the screw heads snapped when attaching back plate for springs, but it has five other screws to hold it in place so i’m not complaining. truly a hidden gem with helpful wiring diagram for electronics; would recommend

Great First Build
This was my first build and I am very happy with the end product. The neck and fret work was better than what came stock with my Epiphone. The neck and body alone are with the buy to me. The components are pretty low quality but I expected that at the point price. It's a great base to build on, the pickups will be my first upgrade the ones that come stock are "very angry" a little gain makes the sound like a buzz saw. But once again didn't expect Seymour's in it so, not an issue for me. Also wanted to mention how well the body was routed, I had no problems at all and the neck fit nice and snug.

Great guitar
This is the best kit I've built yet. The neck didn't require any fret work and the body was beautiful so I finished it with just clear. It plays very nice after getting it set up, l couldn't ask for better.

Not worth the money
The switch fell apart and the bridge screws stripped the first time I used them

Beauty is only skin deep
The guitar body and neck are great. The wiring is substandard by any standard. There are numerous cold solder connections and the bridge pickup is an "open" circuit, it has a broken wire inside the pickup coil. The coil also had wiring trapped underneath the coil bobbin frame and then screwed tightly down to the metal base. I spent 3 hours trying to just get a replacement pickup. I'm an electrical engineer so the crappy solder I can fix. The problem is you can only get a refund. So it's an all or nothing condition. Since I had sanded and primed the body I decided to keep the guitar and just buy new pickups myself. So a good deal became a much less enjoyable experience. So instead of an easy choice 5 star rating I am being generous at a 3 star rating. If I hadn't already began the finishing process I would have sent it back.

Impressive
I have not put this together yet, but I want to say I am impressed with the quality of the wood, allowing for the option of a clear finish to show off the wood. The hardware included all looks and feels good. A clear wiring diagram is provided. The neck fits well and has nice fret work already.

Assembly wasn’t easy, but after it’s together it’s not bad
I have some mixed feelings when it comes to this DIY electric guitar. I got this thinking it would be cool for my 11 year old whom has been asking for an electric guitar for the last year to be able to put it together himself. I e always found that putting something together myself gives me a better understanding of it.This however was not at all easy to put together if you know very little about guitars. I sat down with my son on a Sunday to build this with him, and by the end I was frustrated and he was over it, and it took hours. And I’m usually someone whom has little trouble putting something together so I’m not sure why this was so time consuming and frustrating. That being said, once it’s together it’s together, so at least we don’t have to do this again. As far as the quality it seams ok, not anything special but it works which is what’s important.
