This eyeliner is amazing. It didn't smudge and it's a really rich, velvetty black. It was a great price and better than other expensive brands that don't even come close to this quality. I will be purchasing more in the future. I highly recommend.

It is shimmery and glides on well, i wish it were more pigmented but if you use a couple of layers it works great! You can use it as inner corner highlight or as a base for bright colors (like in my photo) it totally enhances your makeup look and makes your eyes look a bit bigger (if they’re small like mine) great price! Love it!

I am obsessed with my Essence gel liners! I have multiple colors. They glide on so smooth and they stay on! The colors are so vibrant and for the price RUN DON’T WALK! Will continue to purchase for years to come!

Bought this to compare to tartes game awake. it wears all day and looks exactly the same however, there’s only a tiny bit of product and you can’t sharpen it whatsoever or push anymore out. Not sure it’s worth it at all. I had it less than a week and it was about done

I normally use liquid black eyeliner, but thought I’d change to this to see the difference. I liked how easy it was to use, it stayed on all day and did not smear, and is good to use with a stiff eyeliner brush if you want to do cat eye liner or even just a regular line. Will repurchase.

Like many, I was heartbroken when Marc Jacobs beauty, and thus Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eyeliner, was disctoniued in 2021. It was the only eyeliner that didn’t give me raccoon eyes. After running out of my stash of Marc Jacobs Highliners I bought online after hearing of the discontinuation, I needed a new everyday brown eyeliner ASAP. I did a lot of research, and heard that this Essence eyeliner is actually a great dupe for the Marc Jacobs Highliner. Admittedly, I am still a relatively new user to this product and have only worn it a few times, but I must say it does go on very smooth. I do feel like it stays on my eyelids well, but only time will tell. I recommend this for anyone looking for a cheaper alternative to the Marc Jacobs Highliner or some of the other popular gel eyeliners like the one by Urban Decay- for the price it is definitely worth a try!
