The bag is kind of awful, I'd put it in a shaker or other container as soon as possible. But, well, there's no real issue of "freshness" here, it's literally just a specific chemical. MSG is incredibly useful in cooking, and I especially love putting it on popcorn. It makes things taste meaty in the best way possible.
