Thank you, Calista. I'm changing from one star to 4. It would be 5 except for the one bad unit. 04/03/25 - I feel conflicted having to write a bad review because I could swear by this product. This device works beautifully on my very thick/coarse hair. Between my Mother and I we have purchased 5 or 6 Calista Profecters and I have recommended to many people who ask about my hair. This is the first time it has only lasted 14 months. I only use it once per week, am very careful with the cord, and clean after each use. A flashing 'E1' is showing in the temp window and it no longer heats up. I have attempted to appeal to Calista to do something for me (a good and loyal customer). However, their response was, 'The unit will need to be replaced', with no other direction. I believe this means they will do nothing to make this situation right. What would appease me would be to offer a replacement or at the very least offer a deep discount in order for me to purchase a new one. I'm sure they don't intend their product only to last 14 months. If that's the norm, then this product is not worth replacing.
