A lovely watch
Great looking watch. Well presented in a gift box with a chain and cleaning cloth. Good value for the money.I easily set the time by pulling up the top knob and twisting it to turn the hands. It has a battery already installed. The second hand is useful to show that the battery is working. Not sure how you would replace the battery but a lot of other reviews on this type of watch suggest trying to take off the back. When the battery goes, if we cannot get the back off with a thin edged tool, then I will probably just buy another (as they are so cheap) and use the parts of the old one in a piece of art.I bought it because I have a nickel allergy so I find it difficult to buy a cheap wrist watch that is skin safe. This was very cheap and avoids the need for prolonged skin contact. I am female and intend to keep it in a pocket or bag without the chain. Very pleased with the purchase.

Nice pocket watch....
Watch very good value for money, fast delivery from suppliers. The dial itself is very readable as it has white hands and numerals on a black background. Have had it over a year and still keeps good time. Only problem was when I opened it one day the flip part of the watch came off. Was easily fixed at local watch repairers. This watch was used on a daily basis and I really like it, so I bought the other two in silver and gold. Would recommend........

Great value
I bought this as a present for a skilled engineer who hasn't had a time piece for decades - with the obvious problems when it comes to being in the right place at the right time. He slips it into his overall pocket and no longer needs to search around for a clock/colleague/mobile phone to look for the time. It'll get smashed for sure, that's the environment he works in but at the price of a round of beers who cares.

easy to read display didn't cost much so no issue ...
A little on the small side for a gents pocket watch. This product looks cheap, feels cheap but lets be honest, at under £10 it is cheap for a pocket watch. I bought it for a specific occasion and probably won't use it again after the day but I will have it, if I ever do want to use it. Itis a clear, easy to read display didn't cost much so no issue if it gets damaged or lost. Would I recommend it, yes if you are looking for a cheap pocket watch or like me for something that fits the bill for a specific occasion. If you're looking for something that has a good quality look and feel about it then carry on looking.Update: I used the watch at the function I bought it for. Did everything I wanted at a budget price. I already own a pocket watch with a double Albert chain which I use for formal occasions. This was a less formal and lower key dress so I did not want the double Albert. This fitted the bill and the bronze rather than gold worked really well. The watch did what is says on the tin ie kept perfect time and was very easy to read. As I said before, remember the cost of this watch. It is not expensive and it is good value for what it cost.

Good for cosplay, don't cut your nails!
Pretty small pocket watch. I wasn't expecting it to work, but it does. To make it work pull the top bit up. Took alot of fiddling and shredded nails to open it, but then discovered it's a spring catch just inside the first rim at the top. Once I got the hang of it, no trouble. (you need to feel for it, not obvious) Actually keeping ok time so far. like those £5 watches from cheap shops, you can't really change the battery, but it looks way nicer. Perfect for Steampunk, until I replace it for a real 'old' watch (though that won't be working as I can't afford a proper working vintage watch).
