Horrible Heat not cool
Doesn't really cool nothing. Heating ability is crap. This new brand is horrible. I'm stuck cause I can't afford anything else. The value for it is not worth your money don't buy.

Quiet and effective.
Handsome and unobtrustive— the frame is placed so that it doesn't jut out into the room. Quiet— in particular, I was astonished how quiet it is on the exterior side of the window. Very effective (given some time). The high-tech "smart" features are unnecessary and irrelevant. Would be terrific if Friedrich launched a "dumb" inverter unit that was just this but at a lower cost. Not manufactured in the U.S.— sure hope the workers who assemble it get a fair cut of its hefty price-tag.

First one was a dud
This is a great unit when it works properly. I ordered one and it worked well for a few weeks, then started making a horrible, loud noise, intermittently. My husband says it sounds like a bearing. I was granted a return, but no exchange available. So, I ordered another one in it's place. I will attempt to box up and return the first one. Connecting to the Internet is not for the faint of heart. I did two of them, and neither went smoothly, but I finally got them connected. Once connected, that seems to work well. I don't like the eco mode because it turns the temperature up to 79, which is what too hot IMO. The display is very bright at night, so I turn that off. I will let you know how my return for the first one goes with the seller. 😊 Edit: return of the first one did not go well as they said I needed to return it in it's original box with the proper serial number on it. I no longer had the box and had planned to return it in the box from the new one. So, I paid for this item twice and only received one working unit.

I sleep like a baby now
Works great. Really quiet. I had it installed by a handyman so not sure if it was hard. Happy with it. Cools pretty good. Looks nice bc of the simple design. Very happy with it.

SOOOO QUIET AND EFFICIENT
WE REPLACED A NOISY LESS EXPENSIVE AIR CONDITIONER WITH THIS FRIEDRICH AND REDUCED THE NOISE BY 80% SO HAPPY WITH OUR PURCHASE!
