Vermiculite for Plants Natural Horticultural Super Coarse Soil Amendment (Mined in USA)

I was doing a mix (Square Foot Garden style) for a raised garden, and after buying vermiculite locally, I needed just a bit more, rather than a huge bag. This product met my needs for a small batch. Now, if the weather heats up a bit, I might be able to get outside for my mixing !!

Exactly as described. This can be a hard to find item, so I love that it came right to my door and I was able to mix it into my potting soul while re-potting my plants.

Not uniform size particles, much was just dust

This vermiculite from Midwest Hearth Store seems to be of very good quality. It can be used to germinate seeds. I used it in my soil blend for starting seedlings and it performed well. This bag contains nicely coarse grains. Like perlite, vermiculite helps to improve soil drainage. Vermiculite goes further to help retain moisture, loosen soil and contains minerals that are beneficial to plants. It's more costly than perlite, and this one is on the higher side of pricing for vermiculite. It's 4 liters, which is about 4.23 quarts. The quantity is plenty for potted plants or seed starting, but you would need a lot more to use as a soil amendment in your garden, raised beds or containers.
