Love our Lift Transfer Chair
My Husband was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the Fall of 2023. At that point I was able to, with his help, get him up when he fell. He was re- diagnosed in the Spring of 2024 with PSP and became increasingly unable to help me with getting him up after falls. We borrowed a Hoyser lift which was large and cumbersome. I found this Patient Lift Transfer Chair on Amazon and purchase it in November of 2024. We have found it indispensable in moving him without anyone else's help. It did take some practice. I made mistakes that I have learned from, such as be sure to attach the straps on the inside of the wheelchair or the wheelchair will also lift. At this point we have established a routine that fairly quickly moves him from recliner to bed and vice-versa.The only problem I've had is, despite correctly connecting the seat (seat is attached with straps underneath), the straps have loosened themselves from the seat at an attachment juncture. I contacted the Owner who replaced the seat in short order. These seats seem to be very well made and I'm hopeful this is a rarity.I assembled this Lift Transfer Chair by myself out on our deck. While directions were a bit lacking, particularly at the end, I was able to put it together in fairly short order without any other input.Several nights a week we have help putting my Husband to bed without using this Lift, but I sincerely don't know what we'd do without it and hope I will always be able to use it. Although it is a bit expensive, it has been worth the cost to us, with the exception of the cost of replacement seats. I am thankful the Seller was willing to provide a replacement seat as the cost of this seat on Amazon is, in my opinion, excessive.

Patient liftchair
The first one I bought has been awesome and worked great through all the wear and tear put on it.The second one I ordered was quite the opposite. The build quality was off since the holes to secure the guide rails was misaligned so the patient was always feeling like they was falling over backwards. Had to send back mainingly for this reason.

Beware of restocking fee if returning
Extremely disappointed in this product and experience. We ordered the lift for my husband who has ALS and the lift didnt work for us. The turn crank would have hit him in the head to turn it to lift him. We returned all items from the product in the way it was found and were charged a $123.75 restocking fee!! We ordered a different model from another seller that is electric and it is WAY better quality as well. Highly recommend NOT Buying from this seller.

This really works!
We got this for an elderly relative who has dementia, can't walk and can barely stand, even with aid, for more than a minute. Although we have challenges getting the seat/sling under her, it's not the manufacturers fault. We just needed to figure out a technique since our relative doesn't like to be touched or rolled. We got some slippery glide sheets, set one on another and put the edge of the seat between them. We pulled the 2 seat straps from the other side, and it slid right under her! Took some effort, but it worked. This lifter is such a practical, simple and sturdy design. We've been looking for something like this for awhile but kept getting thrown back on the Hoyer and Sit2Stand loop. Neither of those work for her. The lifter was fairly easy to assemble and straightforward to operate. Lengthening the buckle's straps was a little hard to work out at first, but we got that you have pull really hard, and they hold well. I'd like to give the lifter 5 stars, but it's a little challenging widening the base to use with her recliner. It works, but I have to turn it on it's side, pull one base support open more (or push to close), turn it on it's other side, and do the same to the other base support. It's pretty stiff. I'm hoping it'll loosen up some over time so we can do this without turning it on it's side. There's no lever or way that I could see to change the base's width while in a standing position other than doing this. The larger padded back works well for us; both backs are easy to set up and remove.I'd like to find a way to have more commode slings but can't find a link on Amazon to purchase separately and haven't found how to contact manufacturer. It'd be nice to have clean ones on hand when one gets soiled.I would recommend this. Overall, we are happy with it.Nov. 8, 2023 Update:I finally figured out how to contact the seller through Amazon and asked them how to purchase more commode seats. They were very responsive and accommodating, very much wanted to be sure we were happy customers. It was very nice. I asked how we might buy another commode seat. They asked if anything was wrong with the original seat we'd received. I told them No, it was fine, we just wanted to get another commode seat to alternate with when one got soiled and needed to be cleaned, so they just sent us one! It arrived today and is the same good quality as the original. We're so appreciative. I would be glad to work with this company again in the future and have no hesitation recommending them.

Positional the pad ahead of time
The product is very sturdy and feel safe. The patient feel comfortable and easy to transfer once the patient is hooked up properly. However there is some problem with the width adjustment , one side does not pull out easily, may be more WD40 will help, it might work better with a different design for easier width adjustment. Another issue is that the pad has to be in place properly first before the patient can be hook up, if the patient has problem with mobility especially with standing , then it is difficult to put the pad under or making proper position adjustment because the patient is already in sitting position and very difficult to move. Overall, it takes patience and planning ahead in using this lift.
