Excellent
Sometimes soya mince is too insubstantial and you want something a bit bigger, but finding good 'chunks' can be tricky. This hydrates really well (and quickly) - doesn't take ages like some soya chunks do and isn't too chewy. The mixed sizes and shapes of the chunks are more appealing than the 'pet food' look of some own-brand products from high street chains. This is easy to hydrate, tastes good, digests easily, and is a great way of adding protein to a range of dishes. The best product of its type that I've tried.

The best
These are the best soy chunks I’ve ever tried. Good quality and taste. I buy them regularly. Will buy again.

A dried soya piece option, at 38p a meal, and organic too.
I bought these for a bit of protein goodness in my batch cooking for freezer meals, as they are hard to come by in the usual shops these days. One bag it says is 5-7 portions and, as I went through around 1.5 bags to make 11 meals (judging appropriate amount by eye) which also included lots of veggies (i.e. the chunks were 1 ingredient of several), I'd say that this was about right - about 7 portions per bag. In this 3-bag add-on deal, this makes it a cost of 38p per meal, which - although not "cheap cheap" for a dried product - is great value for an organic product that is a good source of protein, delivered to your door. Sustainable and pesticide-free protein! The soya chunks themselves do soak water really quickly and, as another reviewer said, the shapes are good, avoiding the 'dog food' look..! More soya pieces than chunks. Perhaps it's just me, but on the slight minus side, the chunks did not soak in the olive oil and spices as well as I had hoped (perhaps better when making single meals..), so the flavour in the end was fine/acceptable (considering now I have 11 meals' worth to chow down on!) but ultimately not the best I've experienced, and probably won't quite convince a non-vegetarian to give up the Quorn! It just needs that flavour to stick more, but next time I'll try veg bouillon! Despite my inexperience with batch cooking, I found that these soy chunks browned nicely (with olive oil) during frying and did not stick fast to the pan, which has sometimes happened in the past! Shame it's only currently an option as an add-on, but I may find this product a good fall back to always have in my cupboard. My only qualm is that the use-by date didn't stretch too many months forward (27 July -just over 4 months away), which perhaps would make me think twice about ordering again had I not been batch cooking. Also, a more user-friendly bag opening and a preflavoured option would be great, but these are minor points. In terms of environmental credentials, the product is 100% organic soy bean, grown in EU farms and thus reports 'no deforestation impact'. (I also read a while ago that soy is particularly good at absorbing pesticides, so if you get organic anything, this is a good one.) A decent organic TVP or 'soya chunk' option. :)

First time using soya chunks and these are amazing! I seasoned these overnight in the fridge with soy sauce, garlic and onions granules. Then, I shallow fried them in olive oil with mushrooms, peppers then added curry paste, fresh tomatoes and coconut milk. As a family, we absolutely loved them. I will definitely buy these on subscription next time.

This product is organic, which is the most important to avoid GM and toxins. It is already great.
I like its texture but it tastes and smells a little different from pure soya. Maybe the wrapping material or something else, I do not know. But it dissapears after cooking and adding some spice to it. I am happy with it, after all.

Amazing taste! I love soya chunks
Amazing taste! I love soya chunks. I have tried all the products available in last 10 years but found this product is the best! It's very natural taste and bring natural aroma. To give some tangible outcome, my wife hates soya chunks. Since I bought it, she loves soya chunks! Thanks for such a great product. It's very niche as I am a sofa food lover to I can find subtle differences. Whatever you guys have done, is great! Keep it going!
