The art of ex-plan-ation by ros
The things which ros stats in his book (most of the points) are not applicable for normal conversation it is for eg- we are in a conference, debate, pt meating etcThis book is very well written though. It will not be applicable for those who wants to be seductent in their words and phrases. He stats that we have to know our audience (which can be applied to all). But some points need a big place to be spoken out.So in my opinion, Only read if you want to know what a BBC journal and presenter wants you all to know after 2 decades of experience.THNAK YOU,Have a good read,Bye 👋 👋

Bit repetitive and obvious
Good for someone just starting out but a bit too basic, generic, obvious and repetitive. Eg. Prep with anticipated questions...🤷🏻♂️

Excellent read
I didn’t expect to like this book so much but it was so engaging. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this book to everyone, but anyone who has needs to communicate effectively on a consistent basis could gain a lot here. Plenty of tips on presenting, dynamic conversations, building credibility, giving a pitches that need buy-in, and giving yourself the best change of others to listen and engage with you.

A masterclass
Ros Atkins has laid out the process and checklists that he uses to produce clear communication on tv every week. The degree of rigour may be daunting. But, he has generously handed over a framework to help you. It should be read and applied by any lobbyist.
