I wouldn't recommend this to new architecture history students since it is lacking in all of the historical events and evolution of characteristics of architecture that link the words together, but it is great when some of the vocabulary, dates, or patrons of the time are just a little too far out in your memory.

This is a great reference book if you need a refresher on architectural terminology. I wouldn't recommend this to new architecture history students since it is lacking in all of the historical events and evolution of characteristics of architecture that link the words together, but it is great when some of the vocabulary, dates, or patrons of the time are just a little too far out in your memory.
