I've had my fair share of different brands of park scratchings over the years and this brand and flavouring is arguably one of the best I've tried.The texture is just perfect, not to hard that you fear you're going to break your tooth but equally not a bland " puffed " pork scratchings. Its a good balance of hardness with a bit of fat for extra taste and varied texture.The coating is superb, just the right amount of saltiness with a generous but not over powering amount of flavouring. The seasoning is subtle but enough with a nice gentle warmth to it.If I could make one improvement would be the bag. Although it's a nice strong self sealing bag it is quite deep. This results in a lot of season on the hand and knuckles if you reach into the bottom of the bag. Maybe a wider bag or plastic bucket would be better in this scenario.That said, don't let that put you off as the taste and overall product are second to none and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these scratchings.Pricing is reflective of quality. I think the price point is pretty much bang on.Please make a kilo bag!

I love me my pork scratching, but often they can be overly salty and incredibly hard on the teeth, or both!These Super Cal premium pork scratchings claim to have a softer crunch and low salt, so I had to try.The pork scratchings come in a black ziplocked pouch, looking very much like whey protein packs you get in health shops. Tore it open and has a peek inside.The scratchings, which appear mostly intact, are a little reddish in colour (due to the paprika no doubt) but look just like most other pork scratchings. So I popped one in, then other, and another... Whilst I do not believe there is any "intense flavour" as the blurb claims, the paprika taste is very, very light, which helps to render the snack moreish.There are still hard bits in there, and a number of fatty pieces, but it's in line with other scratching. I would say it is perhaps a little kinder on your teeth, but not massively so. This does nor deter from the fact that these are very nice indeed.The text claim low carb, high protein, keto, blah, blah, blah, which is good for the health crowd, but you aren't popping scratchings down your neck when on a health kick. They also have "No MSG" emblazoned on it, a bit odd, considering all those "Oh it's bad for you and will end your family line" myths have long since been debunked, but, it will keep food conspiracy theorists happy.Very nice, but far from the best - the best being from a local butchers in my home town.

I love crisps. My downfall, really. When taking on Keto previously (2019), I substituted crisps with supermarket pork scratchings and hated it.Years have passed and, thankfully, Keto has grown in popularity… bringing rise to variety and quality in pork scratching flavours,I bought this big back to quell my salty, crunchy craving and they are great. They do have a kick, which I love… so don’t read the flavour description of ‘mild’ too literally. Very tasty and delicious.Will definitely buy again… and probs again tbh.

Has someone who really enjoys pork scratchings or crackling this is definitely a fun size bag of crunchy entertainment that is not only tasty Moorish and satisfying.The bag didn't last long and was shared with friends we all agreed it was really nice.
