EtniesMen's Mcrap Hi Top Skate Shoe

Raps are Back!
SIZING: 0.5 small for me! I go 0.5 up in almost every Etnies cupsole, but not their vulcs. If you enjoy the Marana or Joslin, get the same size you do in those. If you've never had those, these could be TTS or 0.5 small for you. I'd recommend picking the one you're willing to chance on to confirm. I'd recommend 0.5 up, but up to you.Picked up the Black/White pair and I love them! They remind me of the Marana because of the sole, but with a more flexible, roomy upper that is forgiving on the wider/fuller shaped feet out there. I can't wait to skate them, since they look ready to skate out the box. They offer a breathable, mesh tongue with tongue straps to keep your foot locked in whether you lace loose or tight. Hidden lace loops are found on the inside of the eyelet panel for a few of the laces near the middle. Those may be useful if those eyelets are high wear for you, but varies from person to person on how they wear their shoes down skating.Mid/High top collar is a comfortable, soft, mesh-like fabric, and has ample padding. The padding and stiff heel counter provide stable support, but are bit rigid like boots. Meaning, you have support can flex your ankle comfortably. Best of both words for a high top.Raps are a great Dunk alternative if that's what you're after. Especially this iteration of Raps! These, like Dunks need some breaking in to feel comfortable and connected to your board. Even though they do feel comfortable and pretty skate-ready brand new.The only thing I do not like is the perforated holes on most of the colors. Too many holes on too many of the panels. Makes them look slightly "cheaper" in quality compared to how Dunks, Joslin, or other models use perforations in a modest, but effective way. Your taste may be different, but it's not a deal-breaker to me.

Beste Schuhmarke

Insanely breathable, quality construction, non-bulky.
After tearing a chunk out of my ankle with some low-tops while onewheeling, I realized that I needed some sort of ankle protection to prevent future injury. After trying another popular skate shoe brand high-tops and being disappointed, I settled on these and I'm glad I did.Firstly, these shoes are insanely comfortable. In other brands, ventilation is more of an afterthought, where as these shoes seem to be primarily designed around keeping your feet cool. They are very lightweight, with perforated holes everywhere (even the tongue!) and are constructed of actual leather where it counts. There is triple stitching all around and despite their low weight, they are very well made. The board feel with these on is amazing and they felt broken in almost as soon as I slipped them on. The tongue could use some more padding, and the material used could be better, but that is honestly my only gripe and it's very minor. Also, I wish it had a pull tab for the heel. The outsole is grippy and resists scuffs admirably, even after rubbing the onewheel tire, which I often do. If you're using them as skate shoes, the lace protection is pretty decent as well. Although there are only hidden eyelets near the toe and heel, the laces are positioned high enough up that they won't get frayed on your grip tape very easily. The ankle protection comes up just high enough to protect that weird ankle bone that sticks out.I love Etnies, they are probably the most well-made of all the skate shoes I own. I usually wear 14, but size 13 fits me just fine, so maybe order a half-size to full-size down from what you're used to.
