Works well on my HP laptop
I was able to add an Acer and HP monitor( extended display) to my HP laptop with no problem. Once the driver was installed it all configured right away.

HDMI Switcher
It's a great HDMI Switcher but I can't use it to use on our older TV. We only have 1 HDMI connection.I think we just need a new TV.

Wow it works
This actually works. I have tried splitters in the past but this device(You have to download the driver) literally separates the signals works for multi monitor with single input laptops

Received defective units but replacement works great
The first time I received this item, both transmitter and receiver devices would never turn on. Like I wouldn't see any lights on the RJ45 port indicating it's powered on. I even tried plugging my HDMI devices into their ports to see if just those LEDs are bad, but nope, the device refuses to turn on. I also tested the power supply and it's working so the devices were defective.Fortunately, Amazon is able to ship a replacement free of charge if I return the defective one on time, which I did. This replacement item has full functional transmitter and receiver. The LED lights do power on both devices. It's able to transmit my Chromecast content through over 70 ft of CAT6 cabling at its max resolution and frame rate.I'd love to give 5 stars, but because I got defective devices and had to try replacing it, I'll knock a star off from that.Another lesson learned is always test everything before deploying to your actual devices if they're pretty hard to access cabling like mine. I'm glad I tested the replacement item this time and it paid off.

Exactly what we needed. Works great.
Works perfect. We have security cameras split to two different offices 30 ft apart. The signal wasn't strong enough until we installed this device. Now we have perfect video on both TVs.

it does not work with a Cube PC Computer
I purchased the OREI after trying two other HDMI 1 to 2 expanders. The first one connected to my cube, running windows 10, via the HDMI port and the second was tried using the USB C port. The first two behaved identically. Yes I had video but the mouse was screwed up.The problem was that the mouse would not shift between the two monitors unless you moved it left on monitor 1 and then found it on the right side of monitor 2. As my wife said this set up was driving her crazy I researched the OREI. The video was well done and I had high expectations but alas, NO JOY.It behaved just as the other two, much less expensive boxes, did. I then downloaded the drivers that were referenced on the video....I thought surely this is the problem..... Again "no Joy".I could make it work if I powered on the cube and then connected the OREI with one monitor (a DELL) , then connected the second monitor (a Samsung) to the orei..... not the way it should have worked but the mouse behaved well..... then the next problem surfaced.... the Samsung monitor was fuzzy..... the dell monitor was perfect (crisp, bright) and if you did a reboot, the old mouse problem would come back. Oh yes changing the ports that fed the monitors on the OREI did not help.... the dell remained crisp and bright while the Samsung got fuzzy regardless of which monitor setting I used with windows or which port on the OREI I used... If I only used the Samsung monitor on the cube, without the OREI, all was perfect ...bright crisp and very easy to read.. the same with the dell..... both monitors behaved as what I would expect. In addition, the cube would not start a program on the desk top. The mouse would move to the icon but nothing worked if you single or double clicked on any program located anyplace. Now I am not planning to return it, but really think I should as it was a failure from the beginning, but I have given away the other 2 expanders and really need a way to work with 2 monitors. I have resigned myself to simply using it with the limitations noted above.Perhaps this works OK with a Mac (I have not tried it with my Macbook Air) but if that is the case then the description need to be clear on that point. I purchased it because I had a desktop cube and wanted to run two monitors ....Therefor, I can not recommend it as any kind of a useful solution..... thus the 1 star ratingI will try their tech support line as a very last resort ..... but I have very low expectations as this type of device should be a plug and play and unless there is some magic software that will make it work, then it is close to worthless.... as a true dual monitor interface that sort-of works it does fine. But I would never buy it again nor would I recommend it.

Works as Specified - Feed from USB Output
I don't normally take time to write reviews. However, my encounter with this item may prevent others from having a wrongful negative experience. My dual-computer environment consists of a Dell Inspiron laptop running Windows 11 and a MacBook Pro running macOS 14. Initially, they shared a single extended display, keyboard, mouse, and audio via a CKLau HDMI 4 Port KVM Switch. Using the KVM, my initial setup prior to purchasing this OREI SplitExtend HDMI Splitter utilized the KVM's HDMI output to share the single extended monitor. The video from both laptops was fed to the KVM via the HDMI outputs on each laptop. Upon purchasing an additional (2nd) extended monitor and the OREI SplitExtend HDMI Splitter, my first intuition was to maintain the same laptop-to-KVM connections and utilize a HDMI Male to USB-C Female Cable Adapter to go from the KVM's HDMI output into the OREI SplitExtend HDMI Splitter. Using this configuration, neither laptop acknowledged the existence of either of the external monitors. After frustration, disappointment, and just short of returning the OREI SplitExtend HDMI Splitter, I went for broke and just started trying other connections. The first thing that I did was to ditch the HDMI Male to USB-C Female Cable Adapter and plug the OREI SplitExtend's built-in USB-A input into the USB-A output of the KVM switch. This caused both monitors to wakeup and at least acknowledge the OREI SplitExtend without going back to sleep. Now I was on to something! I figured, hmmm?, this is doing more `without` HDMI input than `with` it. What would happen if I disconnected the KVM HDMI cable connections from the laptops? Voila!! That solved the problem. Only the USB cable connections were required for the KVM. It pays not to overthink things. This unit works exactly as specified, "USB A & USB-C Adapter `to` HDMI...". I now enjoy the benefits of having full `Extend Mode` for each laptop!
