I bought the large LED lamp which is an accessory for this brand and it works simply great. The lamp comes with a small tripod which mounts to the bottom of the battery pack and the lamp mounts to the top. It really is a nice combination. For the battery pack, the top two "plugs" are completely sealed with O-ring type seals and screw down very tightly. While I've not submerged the pack in water, I'm quite sure it would withstand water at least to some depth. Certainly they will keep sand and rain out and since the pack is a sealed unit, there's no way for anything to gain access to the inner workings. If you plan to spend a lot of time outdoors or even if you don't, this battery pack is a very nice unit and for a pretty nice price point as well.
