Solid Gaming Keyboard Better Than My Expectations!
My 1st Player Fire Dancing keyboard came today, hand delivered by UPS!I have been patiently waiting since I first heard about this and some avid gamer friends of mine were telling everyone about their new keyboard. After checking theirs out a bit and hearing their feedback I was sold.Pros:+ Solid and well crafted, manufacturer stated waterproof build, I don't feel like testing that out however. I don't keep drinks and food near my peripherals anyway. But for some of you all-night gamers, hot pocket, Mountain Dew drinks this may just be your ticket! You know who you are!+The chassis/frame feels very sturdy. I tried lightly flexing it to see if anything felt loose and poorly made. Nothing negative to report in this area. It's hefty but not overly so; it will stay put during intense gaming sessions. I broke it in playing a few of my games on Steam.+Keys, this is probably the most crucial area to me in a board. I have a few keyboards, both mechanical and non-mechanical. The keys on the Fire Dancer GK3 are not Mechanical, however they feel much better than my $170 board. The actuation of each key feels positive, with even pressure till the last mm and then a gentle bump stop. The keys maintain positive resistance on the return to normal position. The key sound is just right, audible clicks, but not clacky or too loud. To me super clacky keys, especially during MMO gaming when in Team Speak, Mumble or Ventrilo can be distracting to people in your channel. And I have received comments on that very thing with my other board.+ Typing, typing is much more pleasurable on this than my other board without sacrificing the tactile feeling of the switches.+Size, the keyboard is perfect in the size department. It's not too large for those with limited desk space, but it is a full size keyboard.+Lighting, this is the best back-lit keyboard I've every owned. And that is essentially what it is. But there are several solid colors: White, Red, Green (Medium and Dark), Purple, Blue (Light and Dark) for a total of 9 colors to choose from. Changing these is done right on the keyboard on the fly with just one button with a special symbol. No software UI to deal with or update. Just plug USB and play.+ Price, this is an under priced board to be honest. And I would have paid a little more than it costs. Not Cons:* The keys are not individually lit, but in all fairness the entire keyboard, including the outer edge of the board is illuminated, including under each key. And you can adjust the colors to match your theme. So really more of a semi-pro, then a con.* No Macro Keys. Again this keyboard is for a particular use, and this is not the only board 1st Player makes anyway. But given the price, build quality and lighting, adding macros capabilities would have raised the price due to the need for software and hardware build adjustments.Con(s):- No braided cable. Everything is in my opinion is done so well, but the cable is not braided and I doubt it have raised the price that much. The to me would have been the finishing touch on an awesome and well made keyboard, especially when they went through the trouble of water proofing. In summary this an amazing gaming keyboard at an awesome price! If you're looking for a great keyboard without breaking the bank I highly recommend this. I plan on buying a second 1 for my gaming laptop.

be aware that the keys themselves are not lighted,so you wont be able to see the keys in low lighted area. The keyboard itself is pretty good but why have a lighted keyboard that the keys are not lighted...pointless

I would have kept it if it had worked.
This is a nice looking and seemingly well-made keyboard. The key action is average for a membrane keyboard, meaning it does not resemble any mechanical switch I've ever used in any way. The lights were bright and colorful. Unfortunately, several of the keys seemed to have minds of their own, which made it literally impossible to type. If you're looking for a decent colorful membrane keyboard, you can roll the dice on this one. I returned mine and bought a reputable brand.

The Keyboard Thats More Than You Paid For
I just recieved this keyboard and I already have some ups and downs with it. I thought given the name it would be a little more feature rich but then again for the price what was I to expect? This is a really nice keyboard for the price to be honest. The keys are clicky and tactile and they still manage to be comfortable on the fingers. Something I noticed early on in the use of the keyboard is the legs in the back do not raise up as high as I would like. Typing on it completely flat on the table appears to be easier than just having it raised up. Bare in mind though this is coming from someone who is used to typing on a higher platform and no wrist wrest. That is another thing. The wrist wrest is a bit short I dont mind it being here. However I would prefer it to be a little longer for the extra support. Im not asking for blood. The color and rgb on the keyboard are fantastic, I only wish that the color would bleed through the keys a little more than they do now. The font on the keyboard is really cool if youre into Sci-fi types of fonts. I really like it personally. The build is rather good for the price point as well. There is some flex in the board but its not enough to justify a call to action. Middle of the board is mostly sturdy. So all this being said that is my review of the keyboard and honestly, I like it alot.So TLDR:Pros:-Nice price to build ratio-keys feel fantastic-rgb is richCons:- Lighting could bleed through the keys better- Functionality for swapping modes could be betterOverAll:10/10video coming soon!
