Set of 4 Battery Operated Window Candles (Shiny Silver)

Ok so I was very hesitant about buying these. I had bought a few ones at similar price points on amazon and kept being disappointed. I was lying what I thought was a decent amount of money and getting cheap plastic bases that looked awful in person. Well I took a chance on these and I am so glad I did! I was amazed at the quality, they seem like they should’ve cost much more. They have a heavy metal base (I got the nickel color) the led bulbs are great with one bright side and one dim and they are super easy to use. I would 100% buy these again.

These are solid nice looking 6 hour timer candles. Height adjusts to one of 2 positions by adding a rubber ring to the bottom of the candle that moves it up an inch +/- or so. 4 AA batteries. Bright enough to see at the road 60+ feet away and the 2 LEDs in the bulbs are directional so you can have the max brightness facing out and a little dimmer inside the house which is nice. Here's the problem, if you have ever seen someone welding then you know that bright blue/purplish color - and that is exactly the light these candles give off. The bulbs are unnaturally bluish to hot white. Nowhere even close to cool white let alone warm white. They flicker and there is no way to shut that off but its not too annoying but it would have been nice to have the option. The bulbs screw into the top of the candle directly on top of the battery so there is decent amount of pressure from the spring at the bottom of the batteries needed to screw the bulb in. Problem is, as others have noted, if you screw it in by the glass part of the bulb you will break it. You are supposed to screw it in by a thin knurled plastic ring at the bottom of the bulb. Good luck getting hold of that ring while putting pressure down onto the batteries while not putting any pressure on the glass. Its doable but not very easy and prone to problems as others have noted. Had the manufacturer just given some consideration to the spectrum color of the LEDs in the bulb and picked ones even in the cool white 3,000 or 4,000 kelvin range they would have had a winner. Unfortunately, they picked LED diodes that are in the 7,000 to 9,000 kelvin range. I was very disappointed as I thought I had finally found a decent quality bright candle for the windows but not so. Cannot recommend.

I’m extremely happy with these candles. I wanted a bright, flickering LED that could be seen well from the street. Mission accomplished! These are fantastic. The base looks very nice and has a nice heavy feel. The quality seems very good upon first inspection. These give off the bright glow I wanted, but with the added bonus of flickering like a candle (if you want a soft yellow light, these aren’t for you). I have 18 windows in my colonial and they’re really going to sparkle this Christmas. Definitely an excellent buy. The price can’t be beat.

This is my first product review on Amazon. I'm moved to take the time to write it because these candles exceeded my expectations. We have a lot of windows on our home that we had previously decorated with electric corded candles for Christmas. Those candles were getting old, and we were worried about them becoming a fire hazard. These battery operated candles are far superior to our old electric candles.No more dealing with wires, plug-in timers and extension cords. This is a quality product. The bases are heavy enough so we can stand the candles on the window sills without having to secure them with tape or extra weights. The bulbs have a very realistic "flicker" with a bright side and a dim side. When the bright side faces out, the dimmer side is not a distraction inside the house. The batteries lasted over a month so there was no need to change them until they were removed and taken down for storage. One tip I found when inserting or removing the batteries was to hold the base of the bulb, not the glass, and turn the candle stick to screw them together. Easy.

These are AMAZING! As soon as I opened the box I could tell that they are great quality - the bases are heavy and sturdy, and the tips are real glass. I had bought some candles from walmart the day before, and when I got them home and opened them I cringed... These are just what I was looking for. I am excited to see how the timer system works, but apparently they will turn on every day at the same time you first put them together (3:45pm for me), stay on for 6 hours, and then shut off. I am considering ordering another set for the rest of the windows in my house, I only put them in the street view windows originally!
