Great black paper... Hands down, nice and thick, but not poster board. I use pencil and metallic markers on this, and it comes out great!!

The paper is a good weight. I’ve experimented with colored pencils and metallic watercolors, and the brighter colors pop off the page.

Great paper for all multimedia needs. Feels satisfying to draw and write and retains ink quite well.

I was very excited to paint with this and did some experimenting today with acrylic and tempera paints but I am unhappy with the lack of thickness to this. The paper definitely starts to curl with using only the first layer of painting. To me this is just a bit smoother version of black construction paper. I was hoping for a more sturdy thicker paper.I will buy some markers to do some art on this instead for the future.

My teenage granddaughter loved these. She said the paper was good quality and worked well with her colored pencils.

These are very handy pads. The paper is multipurpose, but as you can see in the photos, it holds up well with acrylic paints. I mostly use them to create my own collage papers, but they are nice enough that you could do a drawing or painting directly onto the page as well. Drawbacks? There is a little warping with wet paints, which is to be expected with a multipurpose paper; and very light colors may take two coats to show up very well. I'm quite satisfied with the pads, and will purchase more when I use them up.
