It works and was easy to install
When the tailgate handle on my 2009 Ford Ranger broke, I figured I would have a nightmare getting it fixed, and saw $$$ flash by my eyes. I was wrong! A quick google showed me that replacing the handle was very easy and just required a torx bit / driver to remove an access panel. The handle itself was quite easy to install with a few twists of a 10mm wrench. The handle itself looks and feels like OEM, and should last another 10 or more years! My total cost, including ordering the torx bits, was under $50 and about 10 minutes of work. I can definitely recommend this handle as a do-it-yourself project to replace a broken one.
