Scythe Ultra Kaze Fan 3000 rpm 120 x 120 x 38 mm

The Scythe Ultra Kaze pushes a tremendous amount of air - BUT it is really loud, you will need to get filters for the sound to be marginally reduced. Build quality is great, only complaint is the 3 pin cable is not long enough, but they supply adapters that increase the length. Their is a small buzzing noise also at about 2000 rpm, not entirely sure if it's it vibrating or if it is just the fan its self.I would recommend this fan if it wasn't for the noise issue, BUT if you do not care about noise then this is just for you. On highest rev's it sounds a little quieter than a hoover - no joke.It arrived promptly, and well packaged, in first in a brown Amazon box, with paper to protect it, then a thin plastic cover over both separate fan boxes. Then, once that is taken off there is another thin but hard plastic box protecting the fan, inside there is the converter hidden away and the main fan. No hiccups opening and no troubles trying to get in the packaging. Looks neat and tidy.Pro's- Good build quality for price- Pushes more than enough air (cooled my pc to about 19 degrees*.- Can be quiet on lower "rev's" (although my Asus supplied fan controller didn't let me get it down to 1000 rpm, so i'm stuck with 2000 rpm)- Supplied Screws and a 4 pin converter.Cons- Bulky (WxHxD - 120x120x38mm)**- Short 3 pin cable- Very loud at high/medium "revs" (3000rpm - 2000rpm)*Based upon Asus suite II temperature monitor.**this was my fault for not realising how fat the diameter was.I must also say that Scythe have so far been kind regarding returning of items, I will comment back what the outcome of this is.

I used this for my first computer build.With my headphones on + music playing I can't hear the fan at max rev.But it is very big. And strong.So it actually causes my computer to heat up, because it pulls out more air than the rest of the fans or pushes.Will be amazing for a radiator, for watercooling, but not so much as a case fan.Also very bulky.

Its 3k rpm but its twise tall as standart and that makes it quetCan turn it down a little and it be silent best fan for price

its a good fan that shifts lots of air but is quite noisy on full load. it also has a 3 pin not a 4 pin as described but i am happy as it cools my fx 8320 overclocked to 4.4ghz using a hyper 212 evo and stays at about 59 degreese under load

What a fan! replaced the stock fan on my Corsair H55 with this and while playing Rome 2 on high graphics the temperatures hovering around 33 degrees on the processor, the only trade off is the high decibel level.

Good fan, moves a lot of air even when working against an air filter - but it is quite noisy

Ich habe diesen Lüfter auf Geizhals durch genaueres Vergleichen der Luftdurchsatzwerte (warum gehen solche sachen auf Amazon eigentlich noch immer nicht?) verschiedener Lüfter gefunden, wo er mit seinen 224.4m³/h alles andere in den Schatten stellte. Lautstärke war für meinen Anwendungsfall absolut egal, weil er in einem Serverraum betrieben wurde und wird. Ich würde auch nicht, wie manch anderer Rezensent, davon ausgehen, dass sich die Lautstärke eines solchen Lüfters, egal ob mit oder ohne PWM, irgendwie über ein Lüftermanagement bändigen lässt. Ich habe diesen Lüfter in die Seitenwand des Gehäuses gebaut, um ordentlich Luft in Richtung CPU und Grafikkarte zu bekommen. Und wenn man außen am Gehäuse die Hand hinhält, kann man nicht nur hören, sondern auch fühlen, dass er genau das tut.Hier geht es nicht um gefinkeltes Research and Development wie etwa bei einem Noctua Lüfter mit speziell geformten Lamellen, um den Luftstrom leiser und effizienter zu machen. Hier geht es darum, mit Strom Luft in Bewegung zu setzen, egal wie laut das nachher "tut". Würde ich für meinen Anwendungsfall jederzeit wieder kaufen, weil wie gesagt die Zahlen für sich sprechen.Von Noctua kann ich im 120mm Format höchstens 186.7m³/h Luftdurchsatz zum doppelten Preis bekommen, bei gerade mal 2dB geringerer Geräuschkulisse. Nicht überraschend ist, dass der Scythe dabei den doppelten Strom verbraucht, aber ansonsten finde ich das ein gutes Beispiel dafür, dass rohe Gewalt oft genauso ans Ziel führt, wie perfekt ausgefeilte Technik.

Questa ventola fa molta aria e molto rumore e ci può stare, il problema è che è spessa 2 volte una ventola normale e pesante 3-4 volte una ventola normale. Quando la ho messa nella parte superiore del case faceva uno strano rumore (meccanico) probabilmente è difettosa o progettata male. se non avete problemi di rumore sposta tantissima aria ma ve la sconsiglio per un pc normale per un server andrebbe bene

Semplicemente una bestia di ventola, la più potente da 120!L'ho installata in basso per poter spingere aria alla scheda video, da regolare assolutamente con un rheobus, al massimo è rumorosa e in caso dovrete usare delle cuffie per giocare...Con un Lamptron FC6 non riesco a mandarla a più di 2650rpm, forse causa ventola o non ce la fa il rheobus...

Ventola dalle altissime prestazioni. Con i suoi 3000 giri al minuto garantisce un elevato volume di aria trattata. Da utilizzarsi nelle situazioni più gravose dove sono richiesti un elevato potere soffiante o aspirante. Sicuramente queste peculiarità di potenza non la rendono particolarmente silenziosa. Acquisto consigliato.

Se vi serve un grande flusso d’aria e ottime prestazioni sono le ventole che fanno al caso vostro.Tramite bios possono essere anche impostate le velocità nonostante abbiano solo 3 pin.Nota dolente il rumore...ebbene sì...si sentono parecchio anche a distanza di 3 stanze... xD

Il prodotto fa quello per il quale èstato proggettao , ha una grande capita di pressione dell'aria , avendo un motore classico si avverte qualche vibrazione , ed il rumore gerato dalla ventola è molto fortte ,ma trascurabile se si deve necessariamente abbattre la temperatura del case

Este ventilador em gusta, ya he tenido otro antes, y es muy rapido, aunque ruidoso si va a toda marcha, pero es un buen ventilador si se quiere mucha velocidad de rotacion y alto volumen de aire movido...Es bueno ponerlo con un regulador de velocidad para poder ponerlo a la velocidad que se necesite, pues a toda marcha, es bastante ruidoso, lo cual es logico si va a 3000 rpm...Buen ventilador a buen precio mas o menos...

Manca la 5a stella solo per un rumore di ticchettio a eccessivo anche a minimi rpm... ma le ho comprate fregandomene del rumore e cercando il max cfm di una ventola per case e devo dire che sono assurde. A 3k giri fanno un sacco di rumore ma mi fanno scendere la temp della gpu di 5-6 gradi rispetto a quando tengo il case aperto! Montate 3 frontali nel case con un fan controller ho risolto tutti i problemi di temperatura che avevo. Amazon come sempre impeccabile.

rumorosa ma muove una notevole quantità d'aria. l'ho usata per costruire un aspirafumi da saldatura a stagno.Montata su un PC ha senso solo se quest'ultimo permette di gestirne la velocità di rotazione.

Ho comprato questa assieme a due Delta, e ho messo il tutto nel mio pc.. Inutile anche solo dirlo: bestiale.Da sola la Ultra Kaze è perfetta, se abbinata a due Delta poi diventa ancora meglio. Le temperature del processore in full load dopo 3 ore sono di 62 gradi di massima. Consigliatissima

Ricordavo che questa ventola era un tempo rumorosa e buttava parecchia aria, ora invece ho avuto l'impressione che sia stata depotenziata, nel senso è nella norma come rumore e butta parecchia aria ma ho avuto l'impressione che sia meno di anni fa (o forse solo il rumore è ridotto bho). In ogn icaso direi che non è assolutamente rumorosa, consigliato (ma non se volete un pc silenzioso, è ovvio che faccia piu rumore di quelle silent).

Non credevo che potesse essere cosi potente ...anche SILENZIOSO in effetti è l'aria che crea un leggero rumore credo che sia inevitabile considerando che smuove 10 volte tanto un altra ottima ventola stesse dimensioni

ottima ventola, perfetta per chi ha bisogno di grandi spostamenti d'aria, rende 4 volte in più rispetto ad una comune ventola da 1200rpm, io personalmente l'ho installata nel radiatore posteriore del mio sistema a licquido, ricordo che rispetto alle ventole normali è spessa il doppio, pesa 3 volte tanto e fa rumore almeno il doppio rispetto ad una normale ventola.

ARRIVATO COMA DA PREVISIONE - IMBALLO CONSONO ALLA TIPOLOGIA DI MERCE - ASSOLUTAMENTE LA VENTOLA PIU IDEALE E POTENTE PER UN AGITATORE MAGNETICO SIA PER POTENZA CHE PER NUMERO DI GIRI - NON E UNA VENTOLA SILENZIOSA MA SE NON VI IMPORTA IL RUMORE IN QUANTO PER UNA INSTALLAZIONE PARTICOLARE O DOVE IL RUMORE NON E' UN PROBLEMA (TIPO SALA SERVER) ALLORA VA BENISSIMO

Non sono solito fare recensioni, ma questa ventola è perfetta per la dissipazione del calore, unica pecca il rumore abbastanza alto, ma sopportabile, con 2876 rpm reali è la migliore ventola che ho potuto montare fino a questo momento sul mio pc.La consiglio a tutti coloro che hanno le temperature del pc troppo alte, fa davvero la differenza!!come sempre impeccabile amazon con l'invio del pacco!!
