2023 AC Door Vent Kit

It worked wonderful for me. Saved me during this southern CA Heat Wave haha. Much easier to put on than the old plastic insulators that came with the AC. I could see why some people might say the velcrow isn't that strong, but just put it on tight and secure it. Also when taking it off during the day don't yank it, its pretty sturdy but i think people might be yanking it as opposed to taking it off slowly. Takes me like 30 seconds to pull it off the door frame if. Not a big deal at all. Would totally buy it again and have been recommending it to several people!

So my boyfriend lives in a house where there is no designated spot for the vent so he's had to open the window and let it go out that way. It's highly frustrating here in Utah where it's cold in the fall and winter months so in order to do laundry we freeze. So I ordered this and it works amazing. It keeps the cold air out and holds the vent in place. The velcro is very strong and was very easy to apply. I am very very happy with this product and I am glad that it has provided extra velcro. I opted not to cut the excess off because we do have an AC that has a vent. So In the summer we can move this to use for the AC because then it won't matter if the window is opened.

SO much easier/ better than those large plastic window kits, especially for horizontally sliding windows. It took me about 5 min to prep and another 5 to install. Best thing is, at the end of summer I can leave the Velcro on and still close my window. There was one area near the bottom that the adhesive did not stick. I ended up using double sided gorilla glue tape for that area, and it has since held well through our fairly humid summer. Only giving 4 stars because I wish it came with a bit of extra double sided tape for when the adhesive fails

This AC window kit worked exactly as described—super easy to install and creates a strong, secure seal. I was very pleased with how quickly I had it up and running. It holds the portable AC exhaust tube perfectly in place (no more slipping or shifting!), which made a huge difference in keeping our space cool and efficient. The material feels durable and waterproof, and I can tell this will last us through many summer seasons. If your portable AC hose doesn’t stay put, this kit is a must-have.

OMG!! So glad I stumbled onto this great product for my portable AC. It works so much better than the plastic piece that comes with the unit. Took 10 minutes to install. I love how the hose stays secured and you don’t have to worry about it falling out. You can peel back the Velcro from the window if you need to close the window for any reason. I bought more than one and installed in multiple rooms making my portable AC truly portable.

I have weird windows and the install kits that come with portable air conditioners, never fit properly. I always have to mess around with them to get them to fit and although I can manage, there will always be duct tape involved. And it is such a struggle. I saw this kit and decided it was cheap enough and looked like it could work. OMG I love it. It's so easy to install. I have horizontal sliding windows. All you do is cut the velcro strips into 4 pieces to fit the window opening. Adjust the window to the width of the fabric insert that has velcro already on it. You can cut this to length but I just rolled it up to fit the window, In case I need to use it elsewhere, like a patio door. This fabric panel is a heavy duty parachute type material. Very sturdy. Towards the bottom is an opening for your AC exhaust hose. It has an adjustable drawstring to fit snuggly around the hose, and another velcro strap to secure it further. The only thing it did not have was some screening for the end that sticks out the window, to prevent critters from getting in the hose. You can easily add your own. What originally came with the AC didn't really work here so I removed it. Super happy. This was so easy I think I installed it in under 15 minutes. All you need is a scissors.

I dont usually write reviews but I found it troubling that the manufacture misprinted their installation instructions. After scratching my head trying to make sense of the instructions that seemed out of order it dawned on me that the page 3 instructions were in fact supposed to come before the page 2 instructions (in the english version, I was able to verify that was correct but looking at the other languages). The product seems all right once it is in place. Not overly robust, but it works to do its job in a pinch. More heat leakage than I would have liked but not more than I expected, but again, this is a cheap product and does about what you would expect of it.

The product works great overall, but I did run into a minor issue with the adhesive tape. I made sure to wash and dry the area thoroughly with warm soapy water and let it dry completely before applying, but the tape didn’t hold well and came apart. Despite that, I’m happy with the product itself and plan to buy it again—I’ll just try using a different double-sided tape next time to see if that solves the problem.
