Great Tool To Have In Your Arsenal - Crown Moulding - Picture Framing
Nicely made. Quality aluminum construction. Easy to read numbers. On the downside, my box did not contain the requisite instruction/reference material.

Works well on finding both inside and outside angles
When it comes to woodworking in particular, such as baseboard trim and crown molding, not all cuts are a simple 90-degree or 45-degree angle of course so having a product such as this Angle Finder Gauge is very handy and far better than using trial and error to get the angle cut spot-on. The precision laser engraved markings make reading the exact angle very easy and these markings will never rub off so the markings should remain legible for decades. I found this angle finder to work really well and better than an older product that I have used for a long time. One uniquely odd feature of this particular angle finder is that you can lock the position of the angle finder gauge to make sure it does not accidentally change but it requires the use of an Allen wrench (included) on the back side of the angle finder to do so. There is no mechanism for retaining the Allen wrench onto the gauge so you need to somehow keep the Allen wrench handy. The finder does come with a storage bag but since it is black there is no way to see what is inside so at least for me, I will not use the storage bag to ensure that I can quickly locate by sight this angle finder when I am ready to use it again.

Fairly good quality protractor albeit very slightly off
The VOLCANOES CLUB Aluminum Miter Saw Protractor is a reasonably accurate measuring tool which can easily measure angles for regular and compound cuts. The protractor comes with a storage pouch and Allen key for adjusting the tension of the tool. The instructions are in English and contain tables for compound miter cuts used in crown molding construction. The scale is easy to read but unfortunately I noticed a slight deviation in the scale markings. This may be in part that the graduations are painted instead of etched (I was able to very gently scrape a small amount of paint from a marking. Looking at the marking under a scope I did not see any etching at all, maybe I got a defective) but the deviation is minor and I'm not sure if it would have much impact in actual use. So far I have not used this for compound cuts but it's very handy for measuring odd angles to transfer to the miter saw for general work.

Easy to Use and Decent Quality for the Price
This is a simple way to make sure you’re making the right cuts as most house angles are not perfect 45 or 90 degree angles. This makes getting life easier to get precise angles so long as you can properly read the degree gauge on the protractor. That is my only slight gripe about the product. For me I need to read the degree marks a couple of times to make sure I am reading it right.I like the tension the protractor arms came with. It makes it easy to be certain it didn’t move on its own. That is a huge plus. The tension can be adjusted a bit with the hex screws on the back and included hex wrench. The tolerance of the articulating joint seams is pretty tight, so it seems like it will keep debris out pretty well. I imagine it would be easy to pull apart and maintain if it ever needs it.The protractor is made from a nice thick and sturdy gauge aluminum and feels good in hand with no sharp edges and a decent balance to handle easily while working. It also comes with a black storage bag to help keep it from getting dinged up.Overall, for the price, this is nice to have on hand for assurances when making cuts and it never needs batteries.

Solidly Built - Easy to Read - Very Helpful Tool
I take on all sorts of metal and woodworking projects, and frequently I need to measure an odd angle, so I ordered this angle finder gauge. It's nicely milled and finished aluminum which is lots more durable than a plastic angle finder. I like that the numbers are easy to read and that it's versatile - you can measure and read angles from inside or outside. I also like that it allows for adjustment of the tightness with a supplied hex wrench. It comes with a good quality storage pouch, and instructions that include compound cut conversion tables for folks doing finish carpentry and crown molding. I would have given this angle finder 5 stars, but I tested the angular readout against three different reference 90 degree squares that I keep in my shop and found the degree markings to be about 1/2 a degree off. This is most likely not an issue at all for carpentry work, but needed to be noted.

Very happy with this protractor!
This protractor is the perfect solution for those who enjoy crafting and need to make angular cuts or rectify cuts of 45, 90, etc. degrees. I am a person who enjoys crafting in my spare time, as it clears my mind. (You may be wondering what this has to do with the protractor.) Well, it's just a matter of logic. As I mentioned earlier, I only have the opportunity to do some crafting occasionally, but I have worked very well with its use. Imagine what someone more experienced could do with it. Here's a description of the item: it's made of aluminum with a baked paint coating, and the indicator numbers were made with a laser, making them very defined and clearly visible. I really liked the circle that finishes it off because it contains all the angular information that you and your project need. So, I highly recommend it and if you choose it, I just hope you enjoy using it.

Not accurate
Depending on the angle, the protractor is off by up to 1 degree. Not a lot, but enough to leave a visible gap in a miter joint. In the photo, notice how the lines are aligned at some angles, but not aligned at other angles. Sometimes the marks on the inner ring are slightly closer together than marks on the outer ring, and further along the marks on the inner ring are slightly wider than on the outer ring.

Started falling apart after light use
We could not use the product as it was not giving exact measurements. The centre is centered on rubber inserts and that causes some inaccuracies.
