I ordered this to use in my pon mixture. It worked great; this lava rock is great quality and exactly as described. The size is consistent and works well for drainage and plant mixes. It arrived dusty so I would suggest cleaning it before using it on your plants. I’d definitely buy this again for my plants.

Bought twice because needed extra to cover area better. General notes: Most of the rocks were about 3" - 3.5" with no 5" in either purchase. First purchase rocks were black/grey with only a few brown spots. Second purchase rocks were mostly brown with very few black/grey. This worked out OK because I could spread out the brown so the appearance was still acceptable. Had the first order came in like the second, it would not have worked for me. Quality seems good. Note to buyers bag is about 12"x15"x4" use this when figuring amout you need. I would buy again but would not accept another bag of mostly brown rocks.

I use these for the base of my Pots, does the job well. Perfect size for my needs.
