Echo ES-250 25.4cc Shred N Vac

I bought a 1-gallon gas can dedicated to this thing; I put mid-grade unleaded into it, and the 1-gallon pre-portioned oil that came with the machine. It took an hour and a half (I almost chucked it over the fence), plus several doses of pulling the spark plug and spraying starter fluid to convince it to start. Starting it no longer takes an hour and a half, but it still takes dozens of pulls, a lopsided (on your pulling side) aerobic workout, and starting fluid to cold (68 degrees) start this thing.I had to empty the bag 22 times for a small front yard with only one tree. It's very difficult to empty the bag while it's running, which is necessary to avoid the lopsided aerobics it takes to get it going again. It's also too heavy for my wife, who reverted back to the Toro electric blower.Not good.

This item is heavy and the bag that is included is not very useful. I bought the WORKS attachment to shoot the chopped leaves into a trash can. It works well with that. It starts up right away and does a good job shredding the leaves but I would not recommend this product for large leaf clean ups.

I like the light weight design. The easy starting feature (honey pull this cord). The only dislike is the air intake grabs my pants.
