I had an older one. Over the years it started showing signs of corrosion so I discarded it. This ice cream scooper is very similar with the fluid, that is on the inside, to aid in melting the ice cream out of the scooper to create that perfectly rounded scoop of deliciousness. It also aids in not overindulging in that wonderfully chilled snack by the scoop itself being smaller and still sufficient in use. You can now have that third scoop without emptying the container and without it visually looking as though you just cheated yourself. I am in love all over again! Best scooper in my opinion.

Inexpensive But Vital
My other scoop survived years of use by the ice cream lovers in this family. However, it disappeared mysteriously, maybe getting caught up the trash? Anyway, a banana split or any ice cream dessert is not the same without the scooped up balls of ice cream flavors. So we ordered this one, which is just perfect!

This ice cream scoop is shown the same size as the others on the site but it's about half the size.
