Used this to light up the back of a wine rack situated in an empty wood burner stove alcove. Components are surface-mounted onto strip and are not protected, so it would be easy to knock or damage them if not careful. Other strip lights I have used in the past have had a transparent rubber coating to protect the components. The lights are also not particularly bright, but they just about do for what I need them for. The strip can be cut down into roughly 10cm sections if so required (not 2ft as someone describes in the answers!). I needed six strips of around 30cm each, and each strip had six LEDs on (36 LEDs on the total 200cm length). I soldered 4-core ribbon cable to join up the cut strips, which worked well.

Decent LED strip. Just what I needed cause it’s hard to access a plug. a minor thing it’s not very bright but there is only option for 2m length but still a good product
