The Communist Manifesto (Penguin Pocket Hardbacks)

The manifesto itself is quite short, so it's good having a large intro and lots of information/annotation to make this a long lasting read. Anyone who is involved in politics should read this book, because it shows you the true beginnings of one of the most controversial political belief systems to ever see the face of the earth.

I'm a beginner to communist discourse and am not well versed. This was my first foray into communism and I have to say, this has been an incredible read.Without talking too much about the book, there's people here that are much more knowledgeable, here's my review.I researched a lot for what the best translation would be and I was very pleased to be lead to the Penguin Classics translation. I love a good hardback book, and this is one.I can't comment on the introduction as I skipped it. Great value for money .

I've been collecting this series for a few years now.For the simple reason that I'm a fan of philosophy and this set is absolutely gorgeous.A beautifully designed collection of some of the best philosophical works throughout the ages. Covering everything from Stoicism, Politics, Dao and Buddhism to Theology, Metaphysics and Early Feminism.If you don't own any of these books already then I'd highly recommend collection this set.Trust me, you will no be disappointed.

Reads well

Good to have this back in my library. My uncle was a Marxist and trade union official, and told me this book was worth reading. My original copy went missing and I have now been able to replace it. I feel in these modern times it still has much to teach us! Thank you.

Gives good insight to how Karl Marx wanted the world to look. Not only that but now everyone thinks I’m a communist.

I really needed a hard copy and bought this one as it was on sale. It came with a disgusting amount of printing errors on the cover, and too dented. Amazon refused to refund and instead want me to first send it back which will take ages due to my circumstances.
