LICHIFIT 1pair TV Speaker Bar BN96-16796/16798/18089/18088/18070 A/B/F/H/G Replacement Part for Samsung TV Television

These speakers were perfect replacements for the old, non-working speakers in our old Samsung UN55H7150 TV (the Costco version of the 7100). After placing the tv on its front (hint: be careful not to grip the screen too hard and use a soft towel as a cushion) on a table, it only took about 5 minutes to remove the screws from the back of the TV. Then carefully remove the back TV covers (outer "bezel" first then the large flat metal "cover" to expose the speakers. Note: use a small head phillips screwdriver and keep track of the screw sizes - there are about a half-dozen slightly longer screws on the outside, the rest are a bit smaller in length. There is also a screw around the power cord area that needs to be removed too. If the cover doesn't come off easily, look for screws that might have been missed. The two speakers are at the bottom of each side, black plastic (approx. 3" x 6") with a metal cover. Carefully remove the back (metal) cover from each speaker enclosure. Be gentle with any wiring connections. I used a thin screwdriver to pry the covers off. There was a slight bit of gooey adhesive used to stick the covers on. With the covers removed I could see the speakers themselves, with lots of foam surround falling apart. My speakers had two small phillips head screws attaching them to the enclosure. Note the position of any markings (red ink) for reference so you can replace with the new ones to maintain polarity. After removing the screws, I slowly pried the speakers (oval) from the case. Note: on one side of the speakers there were two small (1/2") adhesive dots on the "back" side of the back plastic covers that helped stick the speakers to the black plastic case. Peeling these off allowed the old speakers to be easily removed without much effort. Replacement was just the reverse. The (included) rubber standoffs go into the "holes" on the sides of the black plastic enclosures - replace the old ones if/as needed. Total time - start to finish was about 30min. Results were great - back to the original TV sound again just like new!

Read review with install instructions from Vincent P. This new unit is slighly thicker than old one but fits fine since screws are long enough. Before removing old speakers, note location of red stripe at screws becasue you must follow orientation or speaker wont get signal from copper tabs. I put a dab of glue on metal plates and round silver speaker coils.

Removing the TV’s back panel was straightforward, and accessing the speakers was easy. After removing the power and cable connections, I used the cordless drill to remove the back panel screws. The sheet metal back panel comes right off. The left and right speaker boxes slide off with no tools. There is a metal panel in front of the speaker. I used the heat gun to soften the glue holding on the metal plate then used the Jimmy tool to lift off the metal plate. At first glance, the replacements looked promising—the length and width match the originals perfectly, and they drop right into the mounting holes. However, upon closer inspection, the new speakers are about 1–2 mm deeper than the originals. This extra depth means the original metal clips will not work with the new speakers. The replacement speakers have their contacts on the top, but the TV’s wiring contacts are positioned at the bottom. The originals use a simple metal clip that slides over the speaker’s end to bridge the connections. Unfortunately, those clips don’t fit the new speakers at all due to the design and depth difference. This leaves you with two options: return the speakers or improvise a workaround. I chose the latter and MacGyvered a solution using copper foil tape. I wrapped it carefully around the top contacts and around the back to reach the bottom contacts, creating a reliable connection. It worked perfectly—the sound is now clear with no buzzing, and the speakers perform great overall. Bottom line: These are a decent, affordable replacement if you’re willing to do a minor modification. If you prefer a plug-and-play fit without any tinkering, you might want to look for a different brand or OEM parts. Still, with the fix, I’m happy with the results and the money saved.

These were a perfect fit for older Samsung tv that speakers had given out.

I bought my Samsung 46 inch TV in Nov 2011. While these speakers are advertised as replacements for my model, they do not work. These speakers have the same footprint, but are thicker than the originals by about 1/16 inch. The original speakers have a small metal sleave that must cover the tip of the speaker at the screw slot. Since these speakers are thicker, the metal sleeve will not fit. This sleeve connects the power from the screw slot contact to the contact on top of the speaker, so the end result is that I can not get power to the new speakers.

Amazing!!! Almost exactly the same as the original on the tv. I had my Samsung tv without internal sound for almost 7 years. I used a sound bar and it is ok but is another item to turn on with another remote control and signals were interacting with the cable tv remote turning the volume up or down when changing the channels... The original speakers for the tv with the enclosure were almost $100 a pair and always unavailable. Thank god I never purchase them. I saw a video using this speakers and I did the change without changing the whole enclosure. TV was alive with perfect sound again. Require disasamble and reasamble of the back of the tv, but is a very easy job. Thinking on buying another pair in case they are are discontinued later. Make sure the part number is the one required for your tv model.

Un día, de buenas a primeras, mi televisión empezó a escucharse mal de repente. Cada vez que subía el volumen un poco, el sonido se escuchaba distorsionado, y cada día que pasaba iba a peor, hasta que llegó a un punto que era sólo ruido. Pensamos en llevar a reparar la televisión, pero seguramente la reparación sería muy cara, que lo mejor sería comprar una nueva, ya que nuestra televisión tiene más de15 años. Se me ocurrió, que ya que vamos a comprar otra... porqué no mirar que le pasa a ésta?. Desmonté la TV, y descubrí que eran las membranas de las barras de los altavoces. Con la referencia de los altavoces, busqué en paginas especializadas en recambios para televisiones, y como mi TV es vieja, no encontré los recambios en ningún sitio. Así que mi última opción fue mirar en Amazon, y encontré las barras de los altavoces. Los pedí, los cambié, y hasta el día de hoy, sin problema, mi TV se escucha perfectamente.
