Very durable and excellent quality.
Chacos have excellent quality. I love how the strap is so adjustable to customize the fit. This model is softer than the originals, but still stiff. There is a break in period. Itâs like a good pair of boots, once theyâre broken in theyâre the best shoes! Great support and very durable. I also like Tevas but the donât last as long as Chacos. I wear an 8-8.5. I bought 8 and they fit perfectly.

You can hike all day in these sandals and they will last forever
I bought these to replace a pair of Chacos in the same style that were at least 11 years old, that i'd had resoled once before. The second sole was also worn out and the straps were fraying a bit so I figured it was time, I more than got my money's worth out of the original pair. You can actually hike rugged trails in these sandals, and they are the only sandal I've ever owned where I had no concerns putting them on in the morning expecting a full day on my feet. San Francisco bay area trails, muddy hikes in Hawaii, cobbled streets in Europe, all good. Also great for wearing into the ocean or a lake with a rocky beach. These fit true to size, I am usually a 9 and the 9 regular fits perfectly. I have narrow feet and there's definitely extra length in the webbing, the regular would fit a regular foot fine. If you think your feet are chubby or you ever buy a wide shoe you should probably go with the wide option.I prefer the double-narrow strap style to the single-wide strap style because it feels like it adjusts a bit more precisely around the toe area. I have never had any issues with the straps rubbing uncomfortably except if I wear them into salt water and don't do a great job of washing off the salt and sand afterwards.I really can't recommend these enough if you are going to do anything even vaguely active in a warm climate, even just walking 5 miles around the city. I expect this pair to last another 10 years, when you look at how much they cost it seems on the expensive side "for sandals" but the quality and value is top notch.

High quality, but not for me.
Softer footbed than others, but still not right for me.

Great for flat feet!
I have had 4 pairs of Chacos in the last ten years. One pair has lasted since 2014, but I just got rid of them about a week ago due to wildlife stealing one of them off of my porch. đ I also am very active with them and I take them everywhere, so each pair gets put to the test!I wear size 11, have super flat/wide feet, and Chacos have always fit me well. Theyâre my go-to shoe in the summertime, and Iâm excited for this new pair! Theyâre not as rigid as the âclassicâ style, so they were already super comfortable right away. I highly recommend these to anyone!!! I will always stand by this brand!

Great traction, comfortable shoes
I should "test" these shoes more before writing a review, but I can already tell I'm very happy with them. I wore them on a four-mile hike through sand and over sandstone on a hot day to test them. My feet didn't get hot like they do in boots, this is why I bought the sandals. I'm impressed by the traction, I walked up fairly steep sandstone and the sandals had as good of traction as my good hiking boots with Vibram soles, and they have way better traction than my trail runners. The sandals are open enough that hot sand goes in then right back out of the sandal, it doesn't pile up like the Keen river sandals that have toe protection. The straps are very adjustable to fit my foot just right. The shoes are quite comfortable. For a long hike I will still wear boots with ankle support, but for anything under about 8 miles, the sandals are going to work fantastic for me. The straps feel good on my feet, they might dig in eventually, but I'd have to go many miles before they would start to feel uncomfortable. The straps do not rub anywhere. They can be perfectly adjusted to be tight enough not to rub but not too tight. The quality looks great. I've gone through many pairs of Tevas and one pair of Keens where the soles fell off. I don't know how the Chaco soles will hold up but I am optimistic. (between lots of cliff jumping into the ocean with my Tevas and Keens I put heavy wear on my former river shoes) I am now a tour guide in Utah, many other guides I know wear Chacos all summer and love them.

Extremely uncomfortable
I had tried them in a retail store and felt that the soles were quite comfortable and my feet and legs really felt well supported. But I did not walk in them!! Since the store did not have my size in the color I wanted, I ordered here on Amazon. I was so excited to finally own a pair of shoes I was going to be able to use for walking, yet shoes that had style and fun. I wore them for a half a day. I did not do any excessive walking at all!!! My feet are thin and I can easily put these shoes on (in other words it is not because my feet are too big) after wearing them for just a couple of hours, I started to feel that the lacing (esp that goes over from inside foot to the big toe) was starting to l rub and was causing my feet to swell and skin to break. I took them off thinking I give it a rest and try the next day. Next day the same thing occurred. On the third day after wearing them for a bit (hoping the shoes would finally âbreakâ in) I noticed that my left foot was particularly painful at the same area. It is unfortunate as I love these shoes but I am not packing them for my trip coming up. They are simply too uncomfortable for a trekking trip.
