I had the earlier edition which was good.But this is 100% better.I checked out this and several other highly rated Bandsaw books from the Library first.This is the best.Not the charm of the writings of Christopher Schwartz at Popular Woodwork …but this is a well written technical bookExcellent photosI use it as a ready reference to overhaul and operate an old machine.With the help of this AND the ALEX SNODGRASS YouTube videos, my old Atlas is running like it’s (almost) new!

Nothing is complete but it has a lot of good information. Saw you tube vidio on how to setup a band saw which is more helpful than the book for setup. The book is just ok for setup.

A lot of information on the band saw just what I was looking for. If you need lot of information buy this book, you cannot go wrong.

Chock full of valuable, useful information. Well written and enormously helpful, particularly if you plan on designing and building a bandsaw, though the band saw buyer and user appears to be the intended audience.

Duginske certainly knows what he’s talking about! His organization and writing skills, complemented by the superb, clear photos and explicit, gorgeously drawn and accurate illustrations make for a very special text! As a novice band saw user, I’m amazed at how thoroughly he’s covered the subject, from the basics to the purchase of the machine- new or used- to the metallurgy behind purchasing blades. AND a look at the history behind the craft! Just an excellent text that is well up to date, too.

Well designed, written and edited. But its really for the debutant and if you are one it will come in handy. Otherwise, there is more useful and advanced info at various websites and blogs for woodworkers available in easily vacuumed sizes.

Mostra regulagens, dispositivos e ilustrações valiosas que mostram ao hobista e ao marceneiro iniciante maneiras de fazer cortes. Como disse vale a pena adquirir o livro.

Exactly what I expected a great reference.

This book was written by someone with obviously strong and long experience, and he covers EVERY aspect of bandsaws, including design, features, brands, examining condition, setup, maintenance, blades, straight cuts, curved cuts, jigs, fixtures - you name it - it's all there, and WELL explained. One of the best books I have ever purchased.
